Monad Passages are a common occurrence as you get further into Tartarus in Persona 3 Reload. Within these hidden locations, you'll come into contact with many different bosses, usually with completely different weaknesses and resistances. These enemies can be difficult to beat if you don't know what you are doing.
Inside the Monad Passages of the Yabbashah Block in Tartarus, you'll find yourself in battle with a Phantom Mage. This enemy is incredibly tough for those who are still learning about weaknesses and the best party members to bring along. If you're stuck with a Phantom Mage boss in front of you, here's how you can take them down.

Persona 3 Reload: Wild Beast Weakness
The Wild Beast has two Affinity weaknesses in Persona 3 Reload that you'll want to exploit.
Where to Find Phantom Mage in Persona 3 Reload
As mentioned earlier, Phantom Mage bosses are usually going to be found within Monad Passages, the large, glowing, red doors found in Tartarus, starting in the Yabbashah Block. Phantom Mage bosses can be located in the upper levels of Yabbashah, from Floors 70 to 89.
They are often found on their own as a solo boss, similar to the Hermit boss, though sometimes they can come as a group of four. Since Monad Passages often have multiple bosses in one, it is not uncommon to find a Phantom Mage usually towards the beginning of the Monad Passage.

Persona 3 Reload: Dancing Hand Weakness
You'll want to target Dancing Hands' Affinity weakness in Persona 3 Reload, so here's what to know.
Phantom Mage Weakness in Persona 3 Reload
Once you've found yourself a Phantom Mage boss in a Monad Passage, you can start implementing a battle strategy that exploits its vulnerabilities. The enemy's weaknesses and resistances are as follows:
- Weak: Wind
- Resist: Electric
- Repel: Light
Although you can still get damage on the Phantom Mage with Electric attacks, it is better to use them alongside Light attacks. With that said, focus on using mostly Wind attacks on this enemy to deplete its health. The best S.E.E.S team member to bring along for dealing Wind damage will be Yukari, who can also help to restore the team's health as well.
Depending on where you are at in the game in terms of level, Yukari will most likely have access to Garula or Magarula, which are two Wind skills that will deal medium Wind damage to the enemy. These skills will be best against the Phantom Mage and will make the battle very straightforward. Along with Yukari, you can utilize any Personas the main character has with Wind abilities, such as Sandman, Kushi Mitama, Clotho, and Angel, who can be found in the Thebel Block.
Aigis can be another great addition to the team, as she has a few Physical skills that can deal damage, and some skills that will increase your party's Attack or Defense. As for the last member you'll want to add, you can choose between either Mitsuru or Junpei, as they will both just be there to provide additional Physical or Ice damage. Most of your attacks will come from Yukari and the main character, so the additional characters you bring are mostly up to you. You'll want to make sure you're stocked up with some consumables as well to give your team some buffs or debuff the Phantom Mage.
