Atlus has announced more Persona 3 Reload cast members. The latest trailer for Persona 3 Reload focused on Strega, a group of Persona users who are in direct opposition to the protagonist and his fellow SEES members.

This trailer for Persona 3 Reload also gave fans the first look at the new voices that the Strega members will have. While the Japanese dub of the game will have all the original voice actors reprising their roles for the remake, Persona 3 Reload's English dub voice cast has recast a lot of the characters. Aleks Le will be taking over the role of the protagonist from Yuri Lowenthal, for example. Shortly after the "Conflicting Fates" trailer was uploaded, the voice actors for some of the characters in this trailer, alongside some others that weren't featured, revealed their roles on Twitter.

All three members of Strega, Takaya Sakaki, Chidori Yoshino, and Jin Shirato, have new voice actors, now played by Daman Mills, Merit Leighton, and Chris Hackney respectively. Fans may recognize these actors from their performances in other game and anime franchises. Daman Mills is the current voice of Dragon Ball's Frieza, Weiss the Immaculate from Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and many others. Merit Leighton was the voice of Frosta from Dreamworks' She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. Genshin Impact and Fire Emblem fans should be familiar with Chris Hackney, as he is the voice of Kamisato Ayato and Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd.

Persona 3 Reload English Dub Cast

  • Daman Mills as Takaya Sakaki (replacing Derek Stephen Prince)
  • Merit Leighton as Chidori Yoshino (replacing Chidori's original uncredited actor)
  • Chris Hackney as Jin Shirato (replacing Grant George)
  • Jake Green as Shuji Ikutski (replacing both Dan Woren and JB Blanc)
  • Aleks Le as Pharos (replacing Yuri Lowenthal)
  • Tara Platt as Elizabeth (reprising from original)

Other members of the voice cast were also revealed, such as Shuji Ikutski, Pharos, and the Velvet Room attendant, Elizabeth. Longtime fans of Persona 3 who knew the greater story suspected that Pharos would share the same voice actor as the protagonist, which Aleks Le confirmed on Twitter as well. What fans were a little unsure of was Elizabeth, as many were under the assumption that she was also recast like the other characters. It was then confirmed that Tara Platt will be reprising her role as Elizabeth from the original.

The reception to the new voice cast for Persona 3 Reload has been rather positive. The casting of Daman Mills as Takaya was especially praised for his portrayal as the affable but menacing cult leader. Many were also happy to hear Tara Platt's Elizabeth again, as her performance as the whimsical attendant is still beloved by fans to this day.

Persona 3 Reload launches February 2, 2024 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
