Persona 3 Reload wouldn't be complete without The Answer to wrap up the game's story and serve as an epilogue for its events. Now that Atlus has confirmed that The Answer is coming to Persona 3 Reload in the form of DLC included with the Expansion Pass, fans can rest assured that the story of SEES and the Dark Hour will have a definitive ending. However, The Answer will need to include several features to ensure it continues the base game's trend of refreshing the original's gameplay while still remaining a faithful remake.

The Answer was originally included in Persona 3 FES, an enhanced version of the original Persona 3 release that separated the game into the main story, called The Journey, and this new epilogue, called The Answer. This epilogue takes place shortly after the events of The Journey and sees the surviving members of SEES become trapped within Iwatodai Dorm, venturing into a new dungeon called the Abyss of Time with Aigis taking the role of leader. While the story of The Answer will likely remain the same for Persona 3 Reload's DLC, there are some gameplay features that need to remain or be added to make the package complete.

Persona 3 Reload: The Answer DLC Makes One Feature Omission Sting Even More

While Persona 3 Reload's The Answer DLC reveal is exciting for fans, many are disappointed that one feature is still missing from this expansion pass.

Features Persona 3 Reload: The Answer DLC Should Include

Metis as a Playable Party Member

Aside from Aigis taking on the role of protagonist, a major gameplay change included in the original release of The Answer is the addition of Metis as a playable party member. Metis is another Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon similar to Aigis, and she considers the two of them to be sisters. In the original release of The Answer, Metis plays a key role in Aigis' character development, and it seems like she will once again be an important party member in Persona 3 Reload's DLC based on the footage shown in the trailer for The Answer.

New Personas to Obtain

Another way The Answer can shake up the gameplay of Persona 3 Reload's base game is by adding additional Personas players can obtain. With Aigis gaining the power of the Wild Card in The Answer, it would be nice to see her be able to fuse a wider variety of Personas than was possible in the base game. There is precedent for Atlus to add more fuseable monsters in enhanced versions of games, such as the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance, meaning it's possible that The Answer will follow suit.

Additional Social Mechanics

A big part of Persona 3 Reload is the overhaul made to the original game's social elements through features like fully voiced Social Links, as well as new types of social activities like dorm hangouts and Link Episodes. While the original version of The Answer was heavily focused on dungeon-crawling gameplay with very few social interaction elements, Persona 3 Reload's DLC should take the opportunity to build upon the base game's improved social mechanics and include them in The Answer. There may not be a ton of room for the DLC to feature social mechanics given that SEES is trapped inside their dorm, but there could still be moments of bonding between team members.

Multiple Difficulty Settings

Persona 3 Reload goes a long way to make the game more accessible to a wider audience than the original Persona 3, and part of this improved accessibility is the game's multiple difficulty options. The original release of The Answer was only playable on one difficulty setting, which was comparable to Persona 3 FES' hard mode. In an effort to continue the accessibility of Persona 3 Reload, The Answer DLC for the game should allow players to tackle it on any of Persona 3 Reload's five difficulty settings.
