One of the biggest things that make each Persona game feel so full and well-rounded is its life simulation elements. They help players feel far more in tune with the world that they're playing in. One of the biggest differences will depend on which protagonist the player has chosen. Players should note that male protagonists can only give gifts to female characters. On the other hand, female protagonists can give gifts to characters of any gender, including other women. Similarly, while the female protagonist has access to cooking and sewing classes (which gives her access to well-liked gifts for no price) the male protagonist does not. As such, players might need to think carefully about their choices if they want to play in a specific way — for instance, giving gifts to fill out Social Links faster.

Gifts can only be given on Sundays, and they can only be given when another character asks the player out on an outing. On top of this, gifts also cannot be given to characters whose Social Links have already been maxed. Just remember — if the player asks a specific character out, they will not be able to give them a gift. Keep this in mind when planning out Social Links to make sure time and in-game currency isn't wasted on specific gifts.

Like all Persona 3 Portable characters, Fuuka has gifts she loves and gifts she likes. Both will give a generous amount of points, but loved gifts do give a little more, so they're worth splashing out on.

Fuuka in particular has a large range when it comes to gift tastes. While she likes more expensive branded items, she also likes plants, Japanese traditional accessories, and teddy bears. Plus, players who choose the female protagonist can't go wrong with handmade gifts like chocolate or cookies!
