Atlus had earlier revealed that it will be making several announcements as a part of Persona’s 25th anniversary celebrations. Back in September, the first projects for the 25-year anniversary of Persona were revealed, but some fans were left disappointed due to the lack of new game announcements.

Yesterday at The Game Awards, Atlus confirmed that Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will be getting remastered for PS4, Switch, and PC. This announcement probably did not come as a big surprise, as a rumor back in July had suggested that a remaster for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax was in the works. As Atlus’ Steam page had recently gotten updated, some fans were probably hoping for a release of Persona 5 Royal on PC. Regardless, this was indeed a part of the 25th anniversary celebrations, but it was not the only news Atlus wanted to share.

Atlus has just now uploaded a new video titled “Persona 25th Times Vol.2” on its YouTube channel, that goes over some of these new projects. Vol. 1 of this series was hosted by Moragana from Persona 5, but this time fans are greeted by Teddie from Persona 4. Teddie first shares some details regarding the remaster of P4AU, including its story as well as gameplay mechanics. He then shows a massive list of DLC that will be part of this remastered release, before announcing that owners of Persona 4 Golden on Steam can get Persona 4 Arena Ultimax at a discounted rate.

Teddie then reveals that the official soundtracks of Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Scramble will be on sale from February 22, 2022 while also available on streaming services. The final two announcements include new merchandise and special events at the SEGA Collab Cafe in Japan, but before signing off, Teddie mentions that more projects for Persona’s 25th anniversary celebrations will be revealed soon.

Atlus had released the OSTs from previous Persona games on streaming services earlier this year, but P5R and P5S were missing, as they were both relatively recent releases. Fans will now be able to complete the set in February 2022.

While Persona 4 Arena Ultimax being available on modern systems is indeed great news, some fans were hoping for the announcement of a new fighting game featuring Persona 5 characters. Any big announcements are perhaps being saved for the future, and Atlus will probably let the audience know whenever it is ready to reveal new games in the Persona series.
