Payday 3 has a variety of weapons, but nothing hits as hard as a shotgun. Shotguns are a powerhouse of weaponry in any game, and they pack a dangerous kick for the wielder, especially for whoever is unlucky enough to be on the other end of the barrel. This is especially true in Payday 3, where players will feel the power behind every pull of the trigger.
Sadly, Payday 3 doesn’t have a varied selection of shotguns. In prior games, shotguns were a powerhouse, a force to be reckoned with. There were a variety of shotguns that players could wield, including some shotguns that could be held akimbo. Shotguns also had the power to send bodies flying, which was great for moving bodies in stealth without the use of a body bag. Yet, Payday 3 doesn’t have that feature, and bodies will fall realistically rather than kicking a balloon to pull off these heists.
As of release, there are only two shotguns in Payday 3 , but this list will update as more shotguns become available across the DLC roadmap for Payday 3 .

The Mosconi 12 Classic is a desirable shotgun due to the fact that it has that classic double-barreled style. Players can expect a powerful kick with the Mosconi 12 Classic, and the punch it provides can easily wipe out enemies, whether that’s an overkill shot to the head or a hit to the chest. Enemies will be stunned by its damage, and they can fire both shots in the barrel at a pretty quick pace. The sad fact of the matter is that it’s double-barrelled, meaning after 2 shots players are going to need to reload. The constant state of reloading deters players from combat.
The recoil is very high for the Mosconi 12 Classic, so players are going to want to keep control of their trigger finger to ensure that the weapon fires as desired. Most of the stats of this shotgun aren’t great, and the fact that they cannot enjoy a nice suppressor to keep the weapon silenced and for stealth plays makes it an inferior product, and certainly not the best shotgun in Payday 3 that will help players in the game for their heists.

The Reinfield 880 is the first shotgun that players will unlock, and for the price of $200,000, it can belong to the hands of the players. This Reinfeld shotgun is a classic of the game, and players can expect a nice pump-action shotgun that remains eternally reliable. The shotgun has a great bout of damage, and pulling the trigger on nearly any enemy’s head is sure to kill them. The fact that this weapon is far more stable and accurate than the previous shotgun just shows that it’s the superior product for Payday heisters.
There’s a great bout of ammo for the Reinfeld 880, which allows players to fire constantly without the threat of running out of ammo. Besides that, ammo can easily be picked up from dead bodies. The firing rate might be low, but shells can be shot consistently, with 7 slugs in the shotgun. Great handling awaits this shotgun, which helps players aim their weapons with pride. Although, don’t expect to take out any snipers. Maybe leave that for the bots.
