The NFL superstar quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes, is making his way into Fortnite as the latest inclusion in the Icon Series. While Fortnite has had many different collaborations over the years with top pop culture brands, the Icon Series is specifically meant to honor real-world celebrities, artists, athletes, and other iconic figures.
How to Get Patrick Mahomes Skin in Fortnite
Starting on August 24, 2022, at 8 PM ET, Fortnite players can purchase Patrick Mahomes' Outfits and accessories via the in-game Item Shop. There are no pricing details yet, but players should expect to spend around $20 for Patrick's bundle. However, there is a way to get the Patrick Mahomes skin a day early; this guide will show players how to do it.
Patrick Mahomes Cup
The Patrick Mahomes Cup is a Zero Build Squads tournament that kicks off on Tuesday, August 23. By competing in the event with friends, players have a chance to not only get the Patrick Mahomes Outfit early but also get it for free, as well as the Gridiron Gladiator Back Bling. Players can look at their in-game Compete tab to see the specific times for the event.
Fortnite fans entering the cup only has up to ten matches to prove their worth and earn points towards unlocking the skin. The Match Placement info is as follows:
- Victory Royale: 30 Points
- 2nd: 24 Points
- 3rd: 21 Points
- 4th: 19 Points
- 5th: 17 Points
- 6th: 15 Points
- 7th: 14 Points
- 8th: 13 Points
- 9th: 12 Points
- 10th: 11 Points
- 11th: 10 Points
- 12th: 9 Points

- 14th: 7 Points

- Each Elimination earns players one point
By just earning eight points, Fortnite players will unlock the Secret Sauce Emoticon. However, before players enter the tourney, they should ensure they have two-factor authentication enabled on their Epic account and be at level 50 or above. Otherwise, the tournament cannot be entered.
Top players will be awarded the Patrick Mahomes Outfit for free.
Patrick Mahomes Outfits
Patrick's default style is the Ready for Practice Style, which is him in normal attire. However, there are also two alt Styles to choose from. The first is the Gladiator Mindset Style, which gives Patrick some shades and an enhanced arm. The second is the Gameday Gladiator Style, which provides him with a different powered-up arm with a futuristic-esque gladiator helmet.
As for the other cosmetic items related to Patrick Mahomes, there's the Gridiron Gladiator Back Bling, the Snap Axes Pickaxe, the Endzone Elite Wrap, The Good Stuff Back Bling, the Showtime Emote, and the Secret Sauce Emoticon, with the latter earned through the tournament.
