While Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem may be the ARPG du jour, Path of Exile continues to have an active community of dedicated players. Fortunately for these fans, there are about to be even more reasons to keep playing Path ofExile, as Grinding Gear Games has recently announced Delirium, a forthcoming expansion that will give players access to more challenging encounters, additional skills, and beyond.

Path of Exile: Delirium is set to launch for PC on March 13, with a console release to occur the week thereafter, and it is centered around the Mirror of Delirium. This object has the power to shroud an area in mist, which brings an additional level of difficulty to PoE. Indeed, players will find that touching the Mirror of Delirium grants unique skills to existing enemies while also introducing entirely new adversaries, and both difficulty and rewards will increase as fans delve deeper into the mist.

Additionally, PoE: Delirium will introduce a brand new item in Cluster Jewels, which can be used to extend a player's passive skill tree even further. Bestowed with one of 280 new notables, it is indicated that any monster in the Delirium League has a chance to drop Cluster Jewels, and Grinding Gear Game suggests that the addition of these Jewels is the biggest change that has been made to build customization since Ascendancy Classes were added four years ago.

Delirium will also bring Orbs of Delirium to the ARPG, which players can use to put entire endgame maps into a state of Delirium. The level of this Delirium will be determined by how may Orbs a player uses, and consuming five will offer the biggest challenges and the best rewards. Moreover, players will obtain Splinters through these maps, which will give them access to the expansion's endgame encounter when combined.

While Path of Exile: Delirium may not be quite as exciting as Path of Exile 2, which is confirmed to be in development, it certainly appears to be chock full of new content for players to explore. Even more details on this new content can be found in the video featured above, and fans have just a few short weeks to wait before they can experience it firsthand.

Path of Exile: Delirium launches for PC on March 13, 2020 and for Xbox One and PS4 the following week.
