Xbox Game Pass day one release Party Animals has shared a variety of launch details for Gamescom 2023, including closed beta dates and pre-order rewards. Party Animals has drawn a lot of attention since its announcement in 2019, and its more recent Xbox Game Pass confirmation. Now the multiplayer party game is less than a month away from launch and developer Recreate Games is finalizing some important information. Pre-order rewards and the upcoming closed beta will be perfect for those impatient for September 20 to arrive.

Party Animals is a multiplayer physics-based brawler and party game, where players choose from 12 animal characters and beat the stuffing out of each other. The game appears to take clear inspiration from Gang Beasts, but with more polished visuals and an expanded set of features. Two modes are currently planned for Party Animals. Last Stand is a free-for-all skirmish and Snatch Squad is a capture-the-flag mode. Party Animals is currently announced for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, and will be available on Game Pass day one for all of those platforms.

Gamescom 2023 has been running all week and there are a few exciting Party Animals announcements to share as part of the event. To start, Recreate is planning to hold three closed betas prior to Party Animals' launch at the end of the month. Three weekend closed betas, starting September 1, 8, and 15, will allow fans the chance to play Party Animals before launch. To gain access, players will have to register either on Steam or via the Xbox Insider Hub. Access is invite-only and not guaranteed.

The second bit of news is regarding Party Animals' pre-order rewards. Those who pre-order Party Animals will receive a bit of DLC, including an outfit, an avatar, and in-game currency. Specifically, the outfit and avatar will be for Party Animals doggy Nemo, the corgi character in Party Animals. It's an outfit granting Nemo a royal crown and cape.

A new trailer for Party Animals was also released for Gamescom 2023. The trailer teases several of the party game's levels and the chaos players will find on them. Battles will take place on a flying jet, a dangerous rope bridge, in a frozen waste, on a soccer field, and even near a black hole. There are 20 maps in total, each with its own unique physics-based obstacles.

For those with Xbox Game Pass, there isn't necessarily a reason to pre-order or participate in Party Animals' closed betas. Still, Recreate Games would likely appreciate the extra support. The first closed beta begins September 1. Pre-orders and their rewards will remain available up until Party Animals' launch. A PC or Xbox Game Pass subscription will be waiting, otherwise.

Party Animals launches September 20 on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
