As players save Boggly Woods and acquire the second Crystal Star, they'll return to Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door's titular door to reveal the next stop on their journey: an island floating in the sky. After a chat with Professor Frankly, Mario and company learn that the island is known as Glitzville, and although it's a popular destination, getting there is no simple task. The island is only accessible via blimp, and tickets are controlled by the head of a powerful crime syndicate.

How to Find Don Pianta and Get the Blimp Ticket in TTYD

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Professor Frankly Tells Mario about Don Pianta

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, the west side of Rogueport is run by the Pianta Syndicate, a "nicer" part of town where Professor Frankly says Don Pianta can be found. Players should head west, but if they have yet to visit that side of town, they'll be stopped by Zess T. looking for her contact lens.

Unfortunately, anywhere Mario steps will result in the lens getting squished. Zess T. will demand that Mario replace her contact lens if he wishes to go to the western side of town. After ordering a new one from the nearby store, and waiting a bit of time, players will be able to purchase a new one, soothing the irritable Toad's frustration.

In western Rogueport, players should enter Pianta Parlor and ask around about Don Pianta. A Goomba will relay that if Mario wants to learn about the criminal underworld, he should seek out Ishnail on the opposite end of town. Players can find their way to Ishnail's hideout in eastern Rogueport by turning paper thin and walking through an alley just past Professor Frankly's lab.

Players can inquire about Don Pianta from Ishnail, or alternatively, skip the walk and head directly into the item shop west of Pianta Parlor. As players eventually learn from Ishnail, there is a secret code needed to meet the head of the syndicate. Players should first buy a Dried Mushroom and then a Dizzy Dial. Afterward, they'll be asked the secret question, to which they need to respond with the color yellow. The shopkeeper will ask the wrong question first, but she'll correct herself and Mario will need to respond with the right answer again.

After this point, Mario can then go through the door at the back of the shop where he'll find an alley and stairs leading to Don Pianta's office. When asked for a blimp ticket, Don Pianta will initially be taken aback, before quickly making a deal: if Mario can hunt down his daughter and her fiancé, Frankie, he'll gladly share a ticket.

Where to Find Francesca and Frankie in TTYD

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Don Pianta asks Mario to find Francesca and Frankie

Don Pianta lets Mario know that his daughter and Frankie have decided to run off and elope, but should still be in town. Though his demeanor gives a sense of urgency, players can take as much time as they need to locate the young couple.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Francesca and Frankie

Players can head directly to the dock where Mario first entered Rogueport to find Francesca and Frankie waiting for their boat. They'll implore Mario to let them be happy, and eventually, the hero will be forced to return to Don Pianta empty-handed.

After returning without the couple, Don Pianta is ready to punish Mario, but Francesca quickly intervenes. Players are treated to a short soap opera-like scene with Francesca and Frankie both taking the blame for the situation. After a happy ending, Don Pianta gives Mario the Blimp Ticket, allowing him to board the blimp docked just north of western Rogueport. Players should speak to the Cheep-Cheep at the gate and, after a short ride, find themselves in Glitzville.
