If Ultra Mushrooms and Jammin' Jelly are too expensive in your late-game playthrough of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, then you should get in the habit of cooking up healing items instead. Cooking can be done with one or two ingredients, and it's a great way to use up "weaker" HP/FP-restoring items, such as the Peachy Peach. There's only one place where you can get Peachy Peach, but it's guaranteed every time. Since there are several powerful recipes that require a Peachy Peach, it's one item that you'll want to stock up on if you're someone who likes to cook in Thousand-Year Door.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - How to Get Inky Sauce
In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Inky Sauce is a good FP-restoring item, but it can also be used in cooking, so here's how you can get it.
Where to Get Peachy Peach
Twilight Town
You can get a Peachy Peach by resting at the inn in Twilight Town. One night will cost you 10 Coins, or you can bypass the pay by using an Inn Coupon. After Mario wakes up, there will be a Peachy Peach on the table. If you have room, you can pick it up (A-button) and it'll be added to the inventory. As long as you rest at the Twilight Town Inn, you're guaranteed a Peachy Peach.
If you use a Peachy Peach in or outside battle, it will restore 1HP and 2FP. It's marginally better than a Dried Mushroom, which only recovers 1HP. While the Peachy Peach's FP-recovery may be useful in the early-game of Thousand-Year Door, it's not going to get much use when you start upgrading your partners and equipping badges that consume more than 2FP. It doesn't help that this item is obtainable as late as Chapter 4. At this point in the campaign, you're bound to have access to much better HP/FP-restoring items.

What Ingredients to Cook with Peachy Peach
You can bring items to Zess T. to cook them into something stronger. Zess T. lives in the house next to the Toad Bros. Bazaar in Rogueport Plaza, but she won't help out Mario until he's bought her a new Contact Lens. In case you haven't done so already, you can get a Contact Lens from Toad Bros. Bazaar for 10 Coins. You'll receive an email when the item is back in stock.
Peachy Peach can be cooked by Zess T. to create Fresh Juice. This is an item that restores 5FP and cures the Poison status ailment. It's an upgrade from the Peachy Peach, but if you have the Cookbook key item, you can cook with two ingredients instead of one.
The Cookbook key item is locked in a chest in a secret room (accessible via Tube Mode) in Creepy Steeple. This room is in the main hallway on the northern wall.
The following recipes use Peachy Peach as an ingredient:
Ingredient #1 | Ingredient #2 | Meal Effect | |
---|---|---|---|
Fresh Juice | Peachy Peach | - | Restores 5FP and cures Poison. |
Fruit Parfait | Peachy Peach |
| Restores 10HP and 2FP. |
Heartful Cake | Peachy Peach | Ruin Powder | Restores 20FP and inflicts the user with the Soft ailment. |
Mushroom | Peachy Peach | Dried Mushroom | Restores 5HP. |
Peach Tart | Peachy Peach | Cake Mix | Makes the user Electrified, Sleepy, or Dodgy. |
Tasty Tonic | Peachy Peach | Hot Sauce | Cures Poison and other status ailments. |
* Zess Dinner | Peachy Peach | Super Mushroom | Restores 10 HP and 10FP. |
Zess Special (International Version only) | Peachy Peach | Ultra Mushroom | Restores 20HP and 20FP. |
* Depending on which version of Thousand-Year Door you're playing (ie: Japan or International), you may get a different outcome when following the above recipe. The International version requires a Life Mushroom + Peachy Peach; the Japanese version requires a Mushroom + Peachy Peach.
