In order to encounter Shroomer, the first order of business will be to unlock the fast travel waypoint linked to the mushroom area of Palworld. The quickest way to do so is to fast travel to Ice Wind Island and then travel northwest across the water. This will require a flying mount like Nitewing or a water mount like Jormuntide and will take approximately ten minutes to reach, when taking stamina and distance into consideration.

Once the travel waypoint has been unlocked, it will be time to hunt down those adorable Shroomers. The island is infested with gigantic mushrooms and ponds everywhere, and the spore mist will make visibility harder to navigate. To make matters easy for players looking to catch their first Shroomer, wait until nightfall before traveling to the mushroom area. Shroomer will still be available to catch and will be asleep when the sun goes down, making the catch rate slightly higher than during the day.

Shroomer won't make much of a difference in battle, but it isn't unable to hold its own either. Grass-type pals are less likely to have high attack power unless they have a secondary element, which Shroomer does not have.
