Table of contents

In Palworld's first major update since its launch in January 2024, among the big additions coming to the game is an extension to the Paldeck. Already consisting of over 100 different pals scattered around the various regions, developer Pocket Pair is introducing players to a new list of lovable monsters to capture, train, and turn into behemoths on the battlefield. Pals have plenty of versatility in early and late-game play, capable of turning the tables in battle or becoming suitable workers at the base.

Along with over a dozen new pals making their way into Palworld, Croajiro may be one that gets a chuckle out of new and veteran players alike. A water-type pal that takes the appearance of a frog, Croajiro is more than just a pest to catch, thanks to its agile movement and quick thinking. Though it may appear as one of the more common pals found in Palworld, its water-based attacks shouldn't be taken lightly. If players don't tread carefully, Croajiro may bounce off the walls and fire off water blasts in the blink of an eye.

Where to Find and Catch Croajiro in Palworld

Croajiro Location

Croajiro in Palworld Sakurajima update

Players will be on the hunt for Croajiro early on, thanks to the pal being featured as one of many new additions to the Palworld library. Collectors and breeders can take advantage of finding these pals quickly and in bunches, capturing multiple of them to take advantage of the experience bonus from trapping 12 pals at once. Knowing where to find Croajiro will help players quickly flock to the couple of regions they are located and pile up the experience boost while it's available.

In the map provided in Palworld, Croajiro can be located in multiple areas, including some featured at the beginning of a playthrough. Naturally, Croajiro will be found closer to parts of the map that have water nearby but may also be roaming around wooded parts of some areas. A fine example of a good location to target is the Fisherman Point fast travel waypoint, where a small piece of land is surrounded by sandy beaches and plenty of water.

Croajiro in Palworld location map

Croajiro typically travels in groups of three or more, and when one is targeted — either via an attack or capture attempt — the remaining group will take the move as hostile and will begin to attack the player. Luckily, Croajiro isn't particularly strong, so having adequate armor should be enough to withstand their attacks and capture or defeat the entire pack. Remember to catch at least 12 to take advantage of the catch bonus.

Croajiro Skills & Work Suitability, Explained

Croajiro in Palworld Paldeck entry

Croajiro is a sturdy, base-line pal for base needs as it covers four areas but only provides players with a level 1 work suitability for each. This makes Croajiro good for early-game players who lack workers on the base and are looking to farm some basic materials, like stone and ore. Due to its versatility, Croajiro may be of better service than some of the other beginner-friendly pals, such as Pengullet and Celaray. Croajiro can be put to work in the following areas:

  • Handiwork Level 1
  • Transporting Level 1
  • Watering Level 1
  • Gathering Level 1

Croajiro's partner skill, Leap Stance, plays into the more comical side of player utility but can work in the favor of those who use it skillfully. Leap Stance helps Croajiro build up a lot of loyalty, turning it into energy and forcing it out to send the player flying high up into the air.

This can be used to escape a bad situation and can pair nicely with a glider to put some distance from the threat. Just don't let Croajiro dishonor itself, as they are known to take their own life by piercing their inflated vocal sac, sending them flying into the afterlife.
