Highlights

  • Paldium Fragments are a key resource type in Palworld when it comes to crafting various items.
  • At level 44, players can turn Paldium Fragments into Pal Metal Ingots to create advanced items like weapons and armor.
  • They can be used to craft unique Pal Saddles and Gloves at a Pal Gear Workbench for mounts and combat purposes.

Paldium Fragments are one of the most important resources in Palworld as they seem to be the magical element required for crafting anything to do with Pals. They can be obtained in a few ways, with some loose fragments found on the ground, ready to pick up, while Lunaris drop others.

Palworld: 10 Biggest Pals

Not including Alpha Pals & Lucky Pals, the size variation in Palworld is pretty massive. To prove this, here are some of the biggest Pals in the game.

When farming Paldium Fragments, however, the two main ways are mining it from small ores scattered around the world and crushing Stone using a Crusher at the base. With a large surplus of Stone and a Water Pal always on hand to power the Crusher, players will be able to pump out huge quantities of Paldium Fragments.

6 Shields

Self-Restoring Energy Barriers

Shields are important items in Palworld that use Paldium technology to form an energy barrier which is restored after not taking damage for a short while. Heading into battle without one is a rookie mistake, and over the course of the game, players can craft progressively better Shields which protect against more and more damage.

Starting off with the Common Shield which only needs 10 Paldium Fragments on top of other materials, players can then upgrade to the Mega Shield. This is followed by the Giga Shield, and finally, the Hyper Shield which requires a colossal 100 Paldium Fragments.

5 Pal Metal Ingot

This Opens Up The Construction Of Other Great Items

PALWORLD-PAL-METAL-INGOT-1

One of the best uses for Paldium Fragments in Palworld is to simply turn them into Pal Metal Ingots, which are required for many advanced items such as weapons and armor. To create one Pal Metal Ingot, players will need 2 Paldium Fragments and 4 Ore, but more importantly, these can only be crafted at an Electrical Furnace, unlocked at Level 44.

Pal Metal Ingots can then be used in turn to create weapons such as Rocket Launchers and Sphere Launchers, while also being a core ingredient for some of the best armor in Palworld. Some items in fact require both Paldium Fragments and Pal Metal Ingots, which basically means players need an endless supply of these fragments.

4 Helmets

Provide Extra Defence & HP

PALWORLD-METAL-HELM

There are a number of helmets and headgear available in Palworld, all of which provide extra defense for the player, and the best of these can provide hundreds of bonus Hit Points on top of great defensive stats. As there is nothing else to go in the headgear slot, players should always make sure to craft the highest level headgear they currently have unlocked.

Palworld: 7 Best Uses For Sulfur

Stocking up on sulfur in Palworld is a great idea since there are myriad uses for it.

While the different types of headgear all require varying crafting materials, they all need a certain amount of Paldium Fragments, with the basic Feathered Hair Band only requiring 5, and the Legendary Pal Helm requiring 135 fragments.

3 Sphere Launchers

Capture Pals More Reliably From A Distance

Later in the game, players will gain access to a few different Sphere Launchers, which essentially are all capable of capturing Pals from a distance. While the Single-Shot Sphere Launcher and Scatter Sphere Launchers both require 50 Paldium Fragments each, the Homing Sphere Launcher requires a whopping 200, on top of other high-level resources.

While this may seem like a lot to new Palworld players, a Pal with a high Watering skill will soon have these fragments rolling out by the dozen by powering the Crusher.

2 Pal Saddles & Gloves

These Allow Players To Mount Or Hold Specific Pals

Many Pals have unique Saddles or Gloves that can be crafted at a Pal Gear Workbench, allowing players to use them as mounts or hold them as weapons. While these pieces of Pal Gear require a wide variety of materials to be crafted, the one thing they all have in common is that Paldium Fragments are required. In fact, the workbench itself is even made out of these fragments.

Palworld: 10 Best Passive Skills To Pass To Children Through Breeding

There are a ton of different Passive Skills to see in Palworld, and not all of them are good. However, these are the best ones to breed on new Pals.

In many ways, a Pal without its correct Saddle or Gloves is missing out on its full potential, and so these are some of the most important items to spend Paldium Fragments on. Players will ideally want to have fast flying, swimming, and running mounts, while also having those that excel in combat when mounted or held. Other Pal Gear, which all require Paldium Fragments, include a few launchers and a harness for the Foxparks.

1 Pal Spheres

These Are Used To Catch Pals

Pal Spheres are arguably the most important items in Palworld as they pretty much allow the game to be played, with catching Pals being a core concept. There are six different Spheres, all of which require Paldium Fragments to craft on top of other resources. Ranging in order from Pal Spheres, to Mega Spheres, to Giga Spheres, to Hyper Spheres, and then Ultra Spheres and Legendary Spheres, more advanced Spheres have a higher chance of successfully catching Pals and can be used to catch higher-level Pals.

Players will want plenty of Spheres in their inventory when they head out to explore, as often it can take multiple attempts to capture just one Pal. It is for this reason that the main use of Paldium Fragments is the production of Pal Spheres, and later in the game this process becomes automated by a production line.
