The frog Pals are still unnamed, but are seen using the stick they hold as their way of attacking. Palworld is readying for the release of the summer update, which is expected to contain multiple new Pals and a new island.

Palworld revealed four new Pals coming to the game with the summer update. Since then, more about the release has been teased, but nothing's been confirmed by Pocketpair. That could all change with the upcoming Summer Game Fest on June 7, as Palworld will be making an appearance at the event.

Bucky, the Global Community Manager for Pocketpair, gave fans a brief snippet of in-game content coming in Palworld's summer update on their Twitter account. Calling the update massive in the tweet, they note playing with the new frog Pal as one of their favorite pieces of new content. The accompanying video shows their character swimming in a lily pad adorned pond with two knocked out Pals.

Along with the video snippet, Bucky's tweet contains the hashtag #SummerGameFest, indicating the survival title will be featured at the show. Palworld revealed the early access release to the public during Summer Game Fest 2023 and could continue the trend of large announcements at this year's event. So far, two Pal variants, the four new Pals, a new island, and the PvP arena are confirmed to be on the way. However, details concerning the new island and the arena's mechanics haven't been disclosed.

While four Pals have been announced, it's been rumored that more creatures are included in the next content update. The studio has confirmed it will be revealing major updates coming to Palworld during the 2024 Summer Game Fest. These are said to include "long awaited features," which could range from quality of life additions, changes to existing features, or completely new mechanics.

Summer Game Fest 2024 is scheduled to begin at the end of this week. The teases and potential hints at new Palworld content may increase as we near June 7. With summer right around the corner, the official release date for the summer update is likely to be revealed, as well.
