Traveling merchants in Palworld is a random event that involves a wandering salesman arriving at the player's base with the intention of selling goods. Some of these items aren't available at the usual shops, which makes the event worthwhile at times. Then there's the Medal Merchants, an even rarer event featuring exclusive items only available to these merchants, and it involves a different type of currency.

Players carrying around a bundle of coins will be disappointed, as these Medal Merchants don't accept the usual currency. Instead, Dog Coins are the only acceptable transaction method. Dog Coins are an item that can be obtained a few different ways, but players will have to be patient and vigilant with how and where to get them. Where To Get Dog Coins

Dog Coins are a rare item drop that can be obtained from Mimog, the treasure chest pal. Mimog is a pal that takes the shape of a treasure chest, but can be spotted easily due to its different color palette. Players who spot Mimog should be quick to defeat or capture it, as Mimog is known to run away at high speeds. Players can track them down if they are persistent, but it's easier to get the jump on them.

Capturing or defeating Mimog has the potential of dropping a certain number of Dog Coins, though they aren't a guarantee. This will task players with locating several Mimog during an outing. The advantage to finding Mimog is that they will still drop some valuable goods, such as coins and training manuals. Regardless, Dog Coins are the target and encountering Mimog is one of two ways to stockpile them.

Palworld: Remedy Recipes & What They Do

Remedies in Palworld are an alternative way to boost a player's stats without worrying about leveling up, but crafting them will take time.

The other method is to locate and defeat Moonflower Genin characters, who can be found in the Sakurajima region. These enemy characters are extremely powerful and are typically found in groups of four or more, which isn't ideal. The best solution is to attack from one of Palworld's flying mounts to limit their chance at attacking. Again, the drop is not guaranteed, so targetting these groups should be secondary to locating Mimog.

How To Find Medal Merchants In Palworld

Medal Merchants operate the same as Traveling Wanderers in the sense that they are a random occurrence at a specific location. These merchants won't approach the player base, instead remaining ideal in one spot. Medal Merchants prefer areas where the remains of a church or building remain, preferring the atmosphere of a desolated area. Players will need to keep an eye out for them as they can be located in random areas, standing perfectly still.

If a Statue of Power is available, it's very likely that a Medal Merchant is close by. It's worth noting that these merchants aren't guaranteed to be in every spot when players travel to them, so it's best to fast travel from one point to another until one is found.

The Elixirs can be crafted at the base with a Medieval Medicine Workbench, but players with numerous Dog Coins can collect a large amount of these Elixirs without wasting other materials.
