While there are many areas to focus on in Palworld, nothing is more important than raising the level of both players and their Pals. This opens up the game by unlocking base structures, Pal partner skills, and weapons, while Pals become stronger and pick up harder-hitting moves. This goes a long way, as enemy Pals and Dungeon Bosses will only become tougher the further players go in their adventure.
There are many ways to level up both the player and Pals in the team, beyond the typical battle system. The construction and maintenance of the base brings Palworld players a whole new realm of possibilities for their team to grow, and the time spent can be turned into further assets and materials. Right down to crafting the very Pal Spheres that contribute to catching more of these critters, here are helpful ways to build up EXP and raise the Pals in the team.
Palworld: Best Pal Gear Workbench Upgrades
Pal Gear offers plenty of tactical options and quality-of-life improvements in Palworld. Here are some of the best ones you can make.
Catching Each Pal 10 Times
There is a built-in system for Palworld players to take advantage of, and it involves catching 10 of each Pal in the Paldeck. The bonus rewards players for catching every Pal up to 10 times, offering an EXP bonus that is scaled based on the player's total EXP. Once the tenth Pal is caught, a completion message will follow along with the total EXP earned.
This is an excellent method to earn EXP fast, as there is a good variety of lower-level Pals roaming the first few areas. Players can easily travel to the first two Fast Travel waypoints and run into a dozen different Pals, which grants a large amount of EXP early. It also allows the player to seek out some good passive skills and traits for the base later on.
It's also worth noting that the more Pals a player catches ten of, the more EXP bonus is rewarded. This bonus is structured in a way where it stacks, so going back to older regions to collect multiples of Lamball and Chikipiki is still worth the time spent.
Hatch All The Eggs Found
This may sound like an obvious one, but hatching every single egg discovered is a good way to both fill the Paldeck and achieve the ten-Pal bonus. Additionally, any new addition grants players a nice amount of EXP as well. Players can also choose to breed eggs at the base, making it easier to hit that EXP bonus without venturing out into the world and using up precious resources.
There are a total of nine different egg variations, each hatching its own type of Pal. This makes tracking which Pal can realistically hatch from each egg.
Egg Type | Pal Type | Examples of Pals |
---|---|---|
Common Egg | Neutral | Lamball, Mozzarina, Vixy |
Damp Egg | Water | Celaray, Fuack, Pengullet |
Dark Egg | Dark | Cawgnito, Hoocrates, Killamari |
Dragon Egg | Dragon | Elphidran, Quivern |
Electric Egg | Electric | Jolthog, Sparkit, Univolt |
Frozen Egg | Ice | Hangyu Cryst, Mau Cryst, Swee |
Rocky Egg | Ground | Fuddler, Hangyu, Rushoar |
Scorching Egg | Fire | Arsox, Pyrin, Rooby |
Verdant Egg | Grass | Bristla, Lifmunk, Tanzee |
Stock up as many as possible and never give up the opportunity to obtain one while exploring the wild, even if it means scaling a large mountain. There's a good chance a rare breed of Pal is waiting to come out, and the EXP earned from it will be beneficial.
Palworld: Best Mount Pals For Running
The following mounts make exploring Plaworld's vast open spaces far more enjoyable and substantially quicker.
Farm Regular Arrows Frequently
Arrows are an excellent and quick way to build EXP fast, as they take a short amount of time to be crafted and use up very few resources per set of two. This method will take a Pal with a Handiwork level of 2 to make things more efficient, as making two arrows takes 1.5 seconds. Work Suitability goes up to level 4, and obviously the higher, the better for crafting materials, but level 2 is sufficient to get the job done.
Level 1 Examples | Lifmunk, Pengullet, Daedream, Fuddler, and Flambelle |
---|---|
Level 2 Examples | Penking, Robinquill, and Grizzbolt |
Level 3 Examples | Lyleen and Verdash |
Level 4 Examples | Anubis is the only one in this category. |
With one Pal crafting arrows with a Handiwork level of 2, this grants the player and their team 80 EXP per minute and 2,400 EXP per hour, minus the little time spent taking breaks. Putting four Pals to work at a time boosts this up to 320 EXP per minute and 9,600 EXP per hour. This win-win trade-off has players gaining levels quickly while stockpiling a weapon that is among the best in the game.
The further into the game a player gets, the better Pals that become available, making crafting and battles easier to get through and grinding EXP feel like less of a chore.
