Once players claw their way out of Palworld's early game Stone Age, they'll eventually find themselves in need of the next major resource needed for base improvements: electricity. Many of the game's mid and late-game crafting stations need electricity to work, and production will come to a stand-still if power ever goes out.

Palworld: How to Get a Kindling Pal and Use Smelter

If you're wondering how to melt ore and get some ingots in Palworld, here's where to find a Kindling Pal with the ability to make a fire.

Thankfully, generating electricity in Palworld is an easy and hands-free task, much like other Pal-powered jobs. If you're not quite sure how to set your personal power grid up, here's how to do it.

Palworld: How to Get Electricity For Your Base

Tech blueprint for the Power Generator in Palworld

First, you need to reach Lv. 26 to unlock the crafting blueprints for the Power Generator. After spending your hard-earned Tech Points, you'll need to build a generator using 50 Ingots and 20 Electric Organs. Both can be a bit of a pain to gather if you don't set up bases or routes dedicated to farming them.

Once your first Power Generator has been built, you'll then need to find and capture an Electric-type Pal. Place them on your base, and they will automatically charge up your generators if they detect that their power is going down. You can manually assign them to generators or just let them run around. The latter is recommended so they can help around other parts of the base if your generators are fully charged.

If you're having difficulty maintaining a stable power level, try creating a dedicated generator area. Pick a flat patch of land, wall it off, and place your generators and Electric Pals in it. The walls will keep the Pals from wandering, forcing them to provide power until your generators are fully charged. Just don't forget to give them some beds and a feeding box so don't go crazy or starve to death.

Univolt locations in Palworld

Univolts are arguably the best for generating power early on, thanks to their Lv. 2 proficiency, though Sparkits are more helpful around the base since they have Handiwork and Transporting skills. You should aim to capture a Grizzbolt later on — they're basically better Sparkits when it comes to work, and they have the added benefit of being able to chop down trees.

Power is needed for the vast majority of late-game crafting stations, like Production Assembly Lines, Electric Kitchens, and Electric Medicine Workbenches. Once you reach Lv. 48, you'll be able to craft Electric Pylons that improve the power generation of Pals in your base. Build these if the lights are constantly going out.
