Bones is a resource that you are unlikely to get at the beginning of the game because the Pals who can drop it are located quite far from the starting location. How to Find Bones in Palworld
Bones are unlikely to be useful from the very beginning when you're just starting to build your base, as they are not used in any of the crafts until level 12. If you've already reached this point, it means that you've progressed quite a bit in the game, having collected currency, crafted armor, weapons, and tools. Thus, both methods we are going to tell you about will not cause any problems or difficulties, so let's talk about them in more detail.
Kill or Catch Pals
Bones are a drop from certain Pals. You can kill Pals or try to catch them, and with a certain chance, you will get this resource. Of course, not all Pals drop Bones. There are a few species that you need to look for:
- Vixy
- Anubis
- Bushi
- Cawgnito
- Cryst
- Gorirat
- Loupmoon
- Maraith
- Rushoar
- Vanwyrm
- Verdash
Searching for Vixy will be the best option, as this type of Pal is probably the first one you'll encounter. Luckily, they are usually not high-level, so you won't have any trouble killing or catching them. Check out the screenshot above to see where they spawn and what they look like. Catch the first Vixy to add it to your Paldeck, and then you can just deal with the rest with your weapon.
Purchase from Wandering Merchant
An alternative to getting Bones is to buy them for Gold, a currency you can accumulate during the game. The problem is that merchants are rarely encountered. A Wandering Merchant is an NPC who randomly wanders the world and whom you may meet while traveling or just staying at the base.
This NPC is usually dressed in a red suit and offers many different items for sale, among which you can often find Bones. As you can see in the screenshot above, the price is 100 Gold, which is reasonable given the rarity of this resource. If you come across a Wandering Merchant and have a decent amount of currency on hand, be sure to buy some Bones, as well as other items he offers because some of them are quite rare.
