As you can see in the screenshot above, Vanwyrm often spawns in the center of the map or in the southwest near the volcano. Among both options, it is better to choose the first one because, unlike the volcano, there are fewer enemies and bandits in the center of the map.

You can find Vanwyrm in these locations both during the day and at night, but it's better not to do so when it's dark because you almost can't see anything around, and it will just take longer. Like other flying Pals, you'll need to spot Vanwyrm somewhere in the sky, so be careful not to miss it.

The method of catching Vanwyrm is identical to most other Pals in Palworld. All you need to do is have a few Pal Spheres to catch the bird when its health is low. As mentioned above, Vanwyrm is usually quite high leveled, so without good preparation, it will be difficult to catch it.

Now, let's take a closer look at the enemy and its weaknesses. The first thing you need to pay attention to is the Elemental Type and the advantages of this Pal. Vanwyrm is a flying Pal with Fire and Dark elements. So, pay attention to the following:

Ranged weapons: Be sure to take a bow, crossbow, or firearm to be able to deal damage to Vanwyrm. Given that this Pal can fly, you will hardly manage to hurt it with a spear or club.
Counterattacking elements: Of course, not only you but also your Pals will attack, and they usually deal more damage. To make the process faster and easier, you will need to take Pals with a dominant element over Vanwyrm's. In this case, it's Water that fights Fire and Dragon which fights Dark. If you don't have them or are too weak, choose the strongest Pals you have.
