Palworld features a variety of different Pals, each with their own unique skills and abilities. Palworld's gameplay sees players traveling around the map and capturing these Pals. Players can discover them within the map, but their exact location varies depending on their nature. Furthermore, locating some rare Pals can be challenging for the players because they exist in specific regions.

Among those Pals, Astegon is the S tier and one of the most challenging to find Pals in the game. As a Dark Dragon-type Pal, it comes with the valuable Black Ankylosaur partner skills. This enables players to use Astegon for flying and enhances damage output. Additional worker skills involve mining, which players can use to mine stones from the ground. Where to Find Astegon

Unlike many night-exclusive Pals, Astegon can be found during the day and at night. It can be located at the following places:

  1. The first location is Destroyed Mineshaft, located in the Volcanic region, southwest of the map. Players can locate the entrance of the Destroyed Mineshaft by exploring the west side of the Mount Obsidian Midpoint Teleport Point, and the coordinates are -576, 421.
  2. The second location is at No 3 Wildlife Sanctuary, located at the west edge of the map. Players need to explore this area to encounter it. As this area is separated from the mainland, players can either use Fast Traveling or take advantage of a flying Pal to go there.

How to Catch Astegon

To catch Astegon, players need to weaken it and capture it using a Pal Sphere. Players can also take advantage of Element type Pals to do so. Although Astegon is a Dark/Dragon-type Pal, which is weak to the Ice element, it is mighty in battle.

During the battle, it can fire Dragon Cannons and other attacks, which players must dodge -- keep on hitting it until it is weakened enough. Once weakened, throw a high-level Pal Sphere toward it and wait for its capture.

When choosing Pals to battle Astegon, it's recommended to avoid selecting Neutral-type ones.
