How To Get Coal in Palworld
Thankfully, it’s not that difficult to find Coal in Palworld since players just need to visit the hot desert biomes, which are located in the northernmost area of the map. Before venturing into the desert biome, players should equip the Heat Resistant Pelt Armor to withstand some heat. It requires 15 Leather and four Flame Organs.
The following areas have natural Coal deposits, which can be harvested using a strong metal pickaxe:
- Hypocrite Hill
- Investigator’s Fork
- Fisherman’s Point
- The Beach of Everlasting Summer
Apart from these locations, the mountain top near the PIDF tower is the best location to farm coal. Here, players can find multiple spawns of coal close together. Getting to the top of the tower may be a challenge, but it is well worth the effort.
Players can also use the mountain top as a good jump point to see one of the three Black Marketeers.
Coal ore respawns over time. This makes locations, such as the mountain near the PIDF Tower, perfect for repeated farming sessions. It’s recommended that players build their base in the desert region, close to a cluster of Coal Ore. This would make it easier for players to farm Coal. They can also employ Pals and task them to mine and gather coal around the base.
Uses of Coal
Coal is primarily used to upgrade weapons and tools in Palworld. It gets infused with regular Ore to create Refined Ore – a necessary resource to craft high-end items.

- Refined Metal Axe
- Ultra Spheres
- Assault Rifle
Refined Metal tools are the third and final tier of tools, making them the fastest ones in Palworld.
