Similar to some other survival simulators, in Palworld, you will definitely need to provide yourself with food. From the start, you can certainly find berries or get meat by killing animals, but they spoil quickly and won't restore as much hunger as heat-treated food. Luckily, you'll have access to cooking almost immediately, but it's not limited to making pie or stew because you can even cook some of the Pals, as strange as it may sound.

How to Cook in Palworld

Campfire in Palworld

As mentioned above, you'll have access to cooking almost from the start. Unfortunately, it's not explained in the tutorial at all, but if you are careful enough, you will notice the Campfire structure in the Technology menu in the 2nd section. At first, it may seem that you only need it to keep warm at night, but actually, it's not. If you spend 1 Technology Point, you can build this structure for only 10 Wood.

Then, simply by interacting with Campfire, you can view an assortment of all the dishes you can cook. Each of them will be much better than just eating raw food. Depending on the ingredients you have, you can choose the right recipe and then cook the dish. In our opinion, you shouldn't spend much time searching for ingredients for expensive dishes because, apart from restoring hunger, they don't provide additional buffs, as is the case in LEGO Fortnite.

In general, once you have built a Campfire, you will have access to cooking only 17 dishes, and all of them have heat-treated ingredients that you could eat raw. As you progress through the game, you will unlock even more interesting recipes and dishes that you can prepare to deal with hunger.

Palworld: Alternative Cooking Methods

Cooking Pot in Palworld

Except for the Campfire, as you progress through the game, you will also unlock a Cooking Pot. This Structure offers much better cooking capabilities, and what's more, it will allow you to cook Pals, as strange and shocking as it may sound.

The Cooking Pot can be unlocked in the Technology tab in Section 17 and will cost you 2 Technology Points. Once you unlock this structure, you can build it using the following resources:

  • Flame Organ x3
  • Ignot x15
  • Wood x20

After that, you can cook if you meet the following conditions:

  • You have enough ingredients.
  • You are using Fire-type Pals to keep the fire going under the Cooking Pot.

This way, you can create new, cooler dishes with different ingredients. This method of cooking is more complicated than Campfire because it takes more time. As mentioned above, you can even cook Pals, but not all of them, only some, such as Chikipi or Lamball.

For example, one such dish is Grilled Chikipi. To prepare it, you will need to place 4 Chikipi Poultry in the Cooking Pot, wait a little bit, and then take the dish out of the pot and eat it, enjoying the benefits you will receive.
