Highlights

  • Captured humans in Palworld function like Pals but don't use their guns.
  • Players have wasted precious Pal Spheres catching useless humans for base defense, sparking disappointment among the Palworld community.
  • It's unclear if this will be tweaked in a future update.

A Palworld player used about 15 Giga Spheres catching a Syndicate Crusher, only to discover that they don't use their mini-guns after being caught. While the Pokemon games only let players use Poke Balls to catch Pokemon, Palworld's Poke Ball equivalent, Pal Spheres, can be used to catch human beings. And not only that, humans caught with Pal Spheres can be put to work at the player's base.

Captured Palworld humans function like regular Pals, for the most part. They walk around the base completing various tasks and can even be used in battle, though that's not advisable. As many Palworld players have discovered the hard way, captured humans don't actually use their guns. This includes the Syndicate Crushers, which are larger enemies that come equipped with a huge mini-gun.

A Palworld fan manages to capture Jetragon, one of the rarest and most powerful Pals in the game, and it came with powerful passive abilities.

When fighting them in battle, Syndicate Crushers can put up a serious challenge. It makes sense that one would want to catch a Syndicate Crusher to defend their Palworld base against raids, but they don't actually use their guns after being caught. This was recently discovered by Reddit user Colebearrrr, who unfortunately wasted 15 Giga Spheres catching a Syndicate Crusher, only to find out that they are basically useless.

The post generated over 3,000 upvotes and many comments of people who also made the same mistake of wasting precious Pal Spheres catching humans thinking they would be good for base defense. Many agreed that it was disappointing that captured humans in Palworld don't use their guns, so maybe developer Pocketpair will tweak this as part of a future update. After all, there are many big Palworld updates in the pipeline, and a change like this seems like it would appeal to a lot of fans.
