Ingots are created by mining ore from veins scattered throughout the world and popping them in a furnace back at a base. However, unlike resources such as stone and wood, ore and ingots can't be farmed easily at a base but will largely determine how quickly a player progresses in the game. Players have to rely on finding ore nodes on their adventures, or better yet, a few locations they can visit regularly or even build a base around.
8 West Of The Small Settlement (6, -528)
An Autumnal Clearing Full Of Ore Nodes
As players journey through the Windswept Hills, they will come across a beautiful area of the map stuck in a perpetual fall with autumnal leaves dotting the trees. It makes a prime location for a base just for the scenery alone, but if players go to coordinates 6, -528, they'll stumble across a clearing with eight ore nodes. This is easy to get to and makes a great location for mining ore early in the game.
This clearing might be full of ore veins, but it's not quite big enough for a base to be on one level. Fortunately, there's another clearing just above to allow players to build a two-tiered base with some well-placed stairs. It's great for defense too since it's surrounded by cliffs and limits directions from which enemies can attack. For many pal tamers, this is the perfect location for a base to farm ore.
7 South Of The Frostbound Mountains (192, -37)
One Of The Best Base Locations For Mining
The freezing cold conditions of the Frostbound Mountains can be perilous to pal tamers still trying to level up, but it's worth straying near it to discover one of the best ore locations in the game where many players build a base dedicated to mining ore. Not only does it have some stunning views, but it's so high up that players don't have to worry too much about their base coming under attack.
This location can be found at coordinates 192, -37, east of the Sealed Realm of the Guardian and west of the Sealed Realm of the Swift. Perched on top of a peak, this spot is home to a total of eight ore nodes, as well as six coal nodes for an added bonus. A fast travel point is found just to the west and it only takes a second to fly up and load up on ore.
6 East Of The Small Cove (123, -544)
Ore Veins Scattered In The Sea Breeze Archipelago
The Sea Breeze Archipelago is just to the west of players' normal starting area but still has low-level pals, making it easy to hop over to mine some ore even in the early game. Nevertheless, pal tamers just starting out should do their best to avoid the Level 31 Alpha Univolt lurking around this area.

5 West Of The Fort Ruins (155, -390)
A Cluster Of Ore Nodes Near The Alpha Chillet
Most players will come across the Alpha Chillet quite early on in the game. At only Level 11, it's not too challenging and only gets easier as pal tamers and their pals become stronger. This makes it worth coming back as an easy method of farming Ancient Civilization Parts, but it also has a cluster of ore nodes close by.
Just to the north of where the Alpha Chillet respawns, players only need to cross a bridge to find eight ore veins. Once the Fort Ruins fast travel point to the east is unlocked, it only takes a few seconds to fly up and mine ore.
4 Desolate Church (70, -404)
Nine Ore Nodes Right By A Fast Travel Point
All the red and gray on the map may make it look like a volcano, but this region hides a very lucrative spot for ore mining and is reasonably easy to get to in the early game.
Players will naturally make their way to the gorgeous yet sinister ruins of an old church standing out on the landscape like a scene from Elden Ring. However, players who explore behind the Desolate Church will find a cluster of nine ore nodes. With a fast travel point very close by and so many nodes, this is a prime location to keep in mind for mining.
3 West Of Hypocrite Hill (92, -259)
A Verdant Meadow Full Of Mining Opportunities
With pals like Robinquill and others between levels 16 and 20 roaming around and several gun-toting enemies lurking behind trees, this is a slightly more challenging area for newer pal tamers. Nevertheless, confident players can still brave this area fairly early on in their game so long as they're prepared.

A short journey from the Hypocrite Hill fast travel point is an area with a huge cluster of ore nodes that would also make a great location for a base. 2 East Of Ascetic Falls (-250, -454)
A Cluster Of Ore Nodes Next To An Enemy Camp
Once players have begun to explore the world a little more and have strayed further on from their starting position, this is a great mining location to keep in mind. However, it's recommended that players have a flying mount and decent weapons before attempting to mine at this location.
It only takes a few seconds to fly from the Ascetic Falls fast travel point to this location. Here, players can find six ore nodes to mine, although it's worth taking out the Syndicate enemies at the nearby enemy camp as well as any aggressive pals first.
1 West Of Investigator's Fork (-258, -212)
A Steep Slope Rich With Ore Veins
Ore nodes are scattered all over desert areas in Palworld, although players can only usually find one or two at a time. However, there's an excellent cluster of ten nodes just to the south of the desert area in the Bamboo Groves.
High up on a hill overlooking the desert beyond is a large cluster of nine ore veins with a bonus one just a little further down the slope. Sadly, the slope is too steep for this to work as a base location. However, there is a clearing just off to the side of the hill that would be perfect.
