Pals are critical figures featured in the game Palworld, unique in their skills and abilities. These Pals are freely roaming Pokemon-like animals that can be found while roaming around the map. Players capture these Pals using Pal Sphere and utilize their skills to progress in the game. Palworld features more than 100 Pals categorized into nine groups.

Dark Element Pal is a prominent one among these groups. There are a variety of Dark Element Pals, and every one is unique in their abilities. However, every Pal differs from others in terms of strength, ability, and skills, so it can be challenging for the players to select those that are good in every aspect.

Aside from partner ability, its working ability includes Transporting Lv 3, which makes it an important Pal to carry numerous items from one place to another.

Helzephyr, in addition to its working ability, can perform several attacks against enemies, including Flare Storm, Nightmare Ball, and more. It is a nighttime Pal only and cannot be found during the day. Players can find it while exploring the area of Hypocrite Hill, preferably the west of this area.

4 Astegon

Astegon
  • Element Type: Dark-Dragon
  • Partner Ability: Black Ankylosaur
  • Work Ability: Handiwork Lv 1, Mining Lv 2

Astegon is a black pal with flame-red wings. In the realm of mining pals, Astegon stands out as the sole Pal with a mining skill level of 4. This high level allows players to extract extensive resources from the ground, and its Handiwork ability proves valuable for crafting purposes. Additionally, its Black Ankylosaur partner skill increases the players' mining damage when riding it.

Astegon also shows unique combat skills, which include throwing Dragon Cannon, which damages all the enemies in front of it. Astegon can be located in several places, including the destroyed mineshaft, which is present in the volcanic region of the map, and the No 3 Wildlife Sanctuary, which is located at the eastern edge of the map.

  • Element Type: Dark
  • Partner Ability: Dark Knight of Abyss
  • Work Ability: Lumbering Lv 2, Mining Lv 2

Necromus is the only legendary Dark Element Pal with a black centaur-like body. It is an armed Pal and holds red lances in both hands. Since it is a legendary Pal, players can use it for riding. While doing so, players can perform double jumps due to their partner's ability. Additional work skills include lumbering, which can be used to gather wood around the forest, and mining, which can be used to generate resources from the ground.

When it comes to combat, Necromus is a powerful Pal as it utilizes its weapon in the fight. It attacks like a boss in every battle and launches Rock Lance and Twin Spears, which damage the enemy. Players looking for Necromus can locate it in deserted regions of the map—precisely northwest of the Deep Sand Dunes Teleport Point. Necromus is grouped with Paladius, which is another legendary Neutral Element pal.

Shadowbeak is a black-colored griffin-like pal with a blue-colored ring surrounding its waist. It is a powerful Pal for combat because its partner skill, Modified DNA, allows the players to deal extra damage when using Dark attacks against enemies. Additionally, its gathering ability can be used in plantations to grow food items.

Shadowbeak is equipped with potent attacks, including the formidable Dak Laser that obliterates enemies with a mighty beam. This makes Shadowbeak an invaluable companion for players seeking to capture legendary Neutral Pals in the game. Players can locate Shadowbeak at No 3 Wildlife Sanctuary, accessed using a flying or a swimming Pal.

Frostallion Noct is one of the most powerful pals during the fight, as it attacks several moves, including Crystal Wing and Nightmare Ball, that slash and damage the nearby enemies. Unfortunately, it can not be located on the map like other Pals, and players must hatch it using eggs. Players need to use Frostallion and Helzephyr Pals to breed it.
