When venturing into the vast archipelago of Palpagos Island in Palworld, players may believe it to be a world populated solely by creatures called Pals. While that is true, players can also encounter a wide variety of NPCs roaming around the Palpagos Islands. Those who choose to spawn in the Plateau of Beginnings will be greeted by a friendly NPC who will provide you with 10 wood to help you get started. However, not all NPCs possess such cheerful personalities.

The Black Marketeer stands out as one of the most useful NPCs in Palworld, offering insights into the game's darker aspects. Resembling Darth Vader, this NPC is notorious for trafficking humans and pals. Throughout the Palpagos Islands, players can find numerous merchant NPCs; some sell useful items, while others deal in Pals. However, for those seeking rare Pals, the Black Marketeers are the way to go.

Where to Find Black Marketeer in Palworld

Black Marketeers are situated across various corners of the archipelago. Some are relatively easy to find, while others require more effort. If you're looking for the easiest Black Marketeer to locate, head west of Desolate Church at coordinates 40, -404. Players who have unlocked the Eastern Wild Travel fast point can find a Black Marketeer by heading west and reaching 462, -122. Black Marketeers found inside caves are guaranteed to be available at all times. However, those who are found in the open world can sometimes go missing. However, don’t worry; you just have to visit at a different time.

What to do with Black Marketeer in Palworld

The Black Marketeer is an NPC merchant who sells rare Pals often found in far away areas and Pal sanctuaries but is different from Pal Merchants. In addition to Pals, players can also sell captured human NPCs to Black Marketeers, fetching a decent price if they are high-leveled. With gold being one of the most valuable resources in Palworld, selling pals to Black Marketeers proves to be an effective way to earn gold coins. It's always worthwhile to check what type of pals a Black Marketeer is selling, as they may offer Pals with rare traits that are helpful for breeding perfect pals.

If you don’t have enough pals for sale, you can consider fighting a Black Marketeer. But be careful though, as these enemies are no joke and are at levels 40 and 45. It is recommended to be around the same level if you want to have a chance against them. Black Marketeers use a gatling gun and also summon pals to their defense in the fight. Upon defeating a Black Marketeer, players will be awarded lots of gold.

Like almost everything else in Palworld, players can also capture Black Marketeers. However, to have the best chance at capturing them, you will need Ultra or Legendary pal spheres. After capturing a Black Marketeer, you can release them into your base and trade with them to acquire a variety of pals. If you're unsatisfied with their current trades, you can check again the next in-game day or click on "Return to Title" in the menu to instantly reset their trades.
