How To Get The First Stormseeker Medallion

Completing the Silver-Winging It, It Takes A Village, and Eye Of The Storm quests from the Temple of the Gales unlocks a new vault called the Vault of the Gales. Zeki will send a letter to your house plot asking you to meet him and Jina at the Night Sky Temple, which can be found in Kilima, south of Hekla's tent.

Upon entry, an animation will play and show you the newest vault that has been unlocked. Interact with it to see the content it requires for completion. There are four bundles involved in this vault, including the Fairywind, Stormseeker, Pie In The Sky, and Cloudcurrent bundles. Cast out a line in specific areas of Kilima and Bahari Bay to find rare fish for this collection.

Disappointed that the vault doesn't contain any valuable loot, Zeki storms off, but not before giving you a Stormseeker Medallion. He claims to have found it in Bahari Bay. The remaining five medallions can be found in treasure chests there. Although some locations could be places you may casually stumble upon, other Stomseeker Medallions are much more difficult to find.

Stormseeker Medallion Locations

Now that you have acquired the first Stormseeker Medallion as a gift from Zeki, your next task is to travel to Bahari Bay to find the remaining five. Head to Bahari Bay from Kilima by traveling east and walking through the gates. The medallions are scattered throughout the central and southern parts of the Bahari Bay map. To make your journey easier and faster, you will want to get a glider and learn to use it to travel more quickly and reach greater heights. Follow the directions carefully and open the treasure chests along the way to complete the collection.

Location 1: Hideaway Bluffs Ruins

The second Stormseeker Medallion can be found between the Hideaway Bluffs and the Windy Ruins in Bahari Bay. It can be accessed quickly through the Hideaway Bluffs or Beachcomber Cove fast travel locations. Near the entrance to the mines, you will find ruined structures, rubble, and stone.

There is a treasure chest in the middle of these ruins, near a figurine that has the inscription: "If I am lost defending what I love, I shall live on in it forever." Loot the treasure chest to find the medallion. Keep the empty ancient treasure chest to decorate your home or dispose of it.

Location 2: Hideaway Bluffs Mines

The third medallion is not far away from the previous location. Walk into the Hideaway Bluffs mines from Beachcomber Cove or enter the westernmost mineshaft. Then drop further down another level until you get into a room with a mine cart. There will be a hidden curtain of vines on one of the walls that your character can stroll right through. You will find yourself in a room with a decapitated statue. Behind the statue is an opening where you can fall through to reach the medallion.

This location is the same place where you can find an Emberseeker Medallion; so, if it hasn't already been collected, you may find one of those here as well.

Location 3: The Old Lighthouse

In Bahari Bay, travel east to find The Old Lighthouse, a key location for completing quests like Fishing For Answers. Take your character across the large wooden bridge connecting Pulsewater Plains and the lighthouse. Stop about halfway and turn back west. You should see a treasure chest on the ledge just below where the cliff ends. Drop or glide down from the bridge to collect it. Don't worry if you overshoot or undershoot the landing. You can always try climbing or try again.

Location 4: Ancient Aquaduct

Near the bridge to the Ancient Aquaduct and the northeastern entrance of the Pavel Mines, you will find yet another Stormseeker Medallion in a treasure chest. Take the bridge about halfway and turn west. You will find the treasure chest glowing on the edge of the cliff. You may choose to walk back around and glide there, climb up from the bottom, or get a boost from the geyser and float there.

Location 5: Flooded Steps

The final place you can find a Stormseeker Medallion is in the area of Bahari Bay known as the Flooded Steps. After passing the entrance through the Ancient Aquaduct, travel west towards the platform with the Majiri statue. The inscription says "In each direction, a guardian concealed. Visit them all for a treasure revealed." This suggests there may be a reward for reading the inscriptions for the statue hidden around Bahari Bay.

From the statue, head south until you find a bridge remnant. The treasure chest is perched there on the railing. Now that you've collected all the medallions, it's time to turn them in to earn a reward!

How To Turn In Stormseeker Medallions

Inside the Night Sky Tent, a character interacts with the Vault of the Gales and contributes Stormseeker Medallions to the Stormseeker bundle.

No matter if you have one or all six Stormseeker Medallions, you can turn them in towards the completion of the Vault of the Gales. Make your way to the Night Sky Temple, in Kilima, south of Hekla's tent. Interact with the third glowing stone and contribute specific items like bugs, fish, and food to the collection. The medallions are part of the Stormseeker Bundle.

As a reward for completing this bundle, you will earn the Emberborn Bookshelf recipe. Craft this phoenix-themed shelf using 40 flow-infused planks, six palium bars, and eight silks. It can be used to decorate your house and showcase other items of importance. After completing the entire vault, you will be gifted a Young Silverwing Nest. It is a rare item that, when placed on the home lot, will gift you with consumable candy eggs once per day. These eggs can boost focus by 250 points each.
