Bandai Namco released two new DLC packs for Pac-Man World: Re-Pac. The available content is paid and adds interactive features to the game that promise to enhance the gameplay experience for PC and console players.

Pac-Man World Re-Pac was announced at a Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase on June 28th of this year and released on August 26th. The game is a remake of Pac-Man World, released in 1999 for PlayStation, which was developed by Now Production and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The remake gives a new look to the platform game with an improved interface, refined mechanics, and updated graphics while retaining the puzzle challenges and bringing a collection of 3D mazes with Maze Mode. Now, with the new DLC packs, players will be able to have even more fun with the iconic yellow hero.

Available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, the Jukebox DLC adds a jukebox on Ghost Island beach that allows the player to change the game's background music. The jukebox has a playlist of over 50 songs, including the full Pac-Man World: Re-Pac soundtrack. Players can even hear renditions in English, Japanese, and Chinese of "We Are PAC-MAN," the franchise's theme song written by Yoshihito Yano and Kazuhito Udetsu that was released this year by Bandai Namco.

Also available for PC and consoles is the Chrome Noir Chogokin Skin DLC. With it, the player can change Pac-Man's look by accessing the game options in Quest Mode, giving the hero the look of the Chrome Noir Chogokin statue. With this, Pac-Man gets a stylish robotic look by acquiring the in-game power-up Metal. This power-up allows Pac-Man to walk underwater and open chests and defeat underwater enemies, and jump on enemies that would otherwise cause damage. Previously the DLC was only available as a pre-order bonus.

In addition to the release of the new DLC packs, Pac-Man World Re-Pac received its first update. Free to all players, the update makes adjustments to the quality of the game's background music and adds the credits from the original game. The update also brings improvements to the overall stability of Pac-Man World Re-Pac.

Interactive features are always interesting for the overall player experience. In times when the video game industry is much more technologically advanced than it was years ago, Pac-Man World Re-Pac is part of a long list of remakes and remasters that have been released. While some people may argue that this is a way for companies to make easy money, remakes and remasters are a good opportunity for older gamers to relive games that have marked their lives in a new way. It is a good way for younger players to get to know more of established franchises.

Pac-Man World Re-Pac is available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
