The Disney Plus series Loki stands out from the other MCU television programs in that it actually has a season 2 confirmed. Not only is the show going to be coming back for a second season, but one of its biggest stars in Owen Wilson just confirmed Mobius will be making a repeat performance as well.

While it appears that Wandavision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier were both limited series, there is some question about Hawkeye potentially having a season 2. Although all of those MCU series appear to be over, or most likely over, Loki has long been known to be making a return. In fact, season 1 ended with a bit of a cliffhanger as the series' titular character was introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's version of Kang the Conqueror.

When the Asgardian god does face off against Kang, it looks like he's going to get the help of Mobius once again. That was confirmed by Wilson when he was engaging in WIRED’s “Auto-Complete Interview.” One of the questions the actor fielded was whether Mobius would return in Loki season 2. Wilson was hesitant to respond at first. It's well known that Marvel Studios doesn't like its actors spilling the beans on what's going to be happening in their movies and television shows and it appeared that was at the front of the actor's mind when he got the inquiry. However, he must have eventually decided he was allowed to answer that particular question as he responded.

Loki Mobius

Wilson said that he is indeed coming back to in season 2 while also adding that he thinks that Loki is going to start filming soon. There had been reports that work would begin this summer, so it's possible the production is a bit ahead of schedule. Of course, "soon" could mean in the next three or four months, which would indeed be this summer.

Wilson is actually the second peripheral actor to make it clear he's returning. Earlier this month Gugu Mbatha-Raw confirmed that she's coming back to Loki and will be bringing her Renslayer character with her. Just how the two characters are going to make their appearance at this point is anyone's guess.

Of course, the show deals with multiple timelines and realities, so their return is far from out of the realm of believability. While production is expected to begin soon, just when audiences will get to see the show back on Disney Plus is also an open question at this point.

Loki season 1 is now available on Disney Plus.
