The Overwatch Halloween Terror 2019 event is in full swing, giving fans of the hero-shooter the chance to collect a slew of Halloween-themed cosmetics as well as participate in the limited-time Junkenstein's Revenge co-op mode. Junkenstein's Revenge features a Dr. Frankenstein version of Junkrat, complete with a Frankenstein's Monster version of Roadhog (aka Junkenstein's Monster), and a new video on Reddit shows Soldier: 76 "summoning" the creature.

The hilarious new Overwatch video has nearly 37,000 upvotes on Reddit, and it is quite amusing. Reddit user Drunken_Queen used the Soldier: 76 used the Rattle Drum emote at just the right time so that it looked like the emote actually summoned Junkenstein's Monster, who appears at a specific point in the wave-based defense mode. According to Drunken_Queen, getting the right timing, positioning, and camera angle to pull this off took "a dozen attempts."

There were some other obstacles that Drunken_Queen had to overcome to capture this magical Overwatch moment. They were sometimes knocked out of position by the Junkenstein's Revenge enemies, and other times their own teammates caused some issues. Teammates like Ana, McCree, or Brigitte, who all have stun abilities, would sometimes ruin Drunken_Queen's attempt by stunning Junkenstein's Monster as soon as it appeared.

The Overwatch Reddit community seems to be pretty impressed by the video, if the nearly 37,000 upvotes are any indication. It may very well inspire some other Overwatch players to attempt to capture similar moments on video, or maybe look for unique moments they can create in other Overwatch seasonal events, like the upcoming Winter Wonderland event, for instance.

Then again, Winter Wonderland doesn't have a co-op PvE mode that may result in a similar moment like this. It instead has an asymmetrical multiplayer mode where players hunt a yeti-version of Winston, as well as Mei's Snowball Offensive which is basically just a big snowball fight at Ecopoint: Antarctica.

It's possible that this year's Winter Wonderland will feature a new mode for fans to enjoy, but that remains to be seen. All rumors point to Overwatch 2 being announced at BlizzCon 2019, so fans shouldn't hold their breath when it comes to Blizzard truly expanding on the seasonal events that are available for the original Overwatch game.

Overwatch is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
