Overwatch 2 fans recently received a ton of info on the new hero Sojourn, with the character receiving two trailers and a developer update. Through this new batch of information, fans got some insight into who Sojourn is and how she plays. With the railgun-wielding hero having a skill-based moveset that features a slide and a high jump, she could become a showstealer in competitive play.

As for Sojourn’s story, Overwatch 2 fans know a decent amount about the character. She was part of Overwatch during its golden age, fighting alongside characters like Jack Morrison. With Sojourn seemingly having a fairly high rank in the organization since she commanded a few missions, the Canadian Special Forces member was likely as old as Morrison during the Golden Years of Overwatch. As such, fans can establish some idea of how old Sojourn is, even if a specific number has not been provided.

Sojourn’s Age Range in Overwatch 2

In Sojourn’s story trailer, she remarks that she worked well with Jack Morrison, AKA Soldier 76. With this in mind, fans can infer that she is closer to him in age than someone like Tracer. Currently, Morrison is believed to be around 55 years of age. As such, Sojourn is likely somewhere in her 40s or 50s, with late 30s being her youngest possible age. Hopefully, Blizzard will provide a more official number in the near future.

Much like Soldier 76, Sojourn in her 50s will likely be just as effective as someone else who is in their twenties. While Morrison received genetic enhancements to become a super soldier, Sojourn received cybernetic upgrades for both her brain and her body. As such, though she may age, it is unlikely to impact her performance in the field. This means that she can assist Overwatch with missions for years to come, and with past experience as a leader, she could find herself back in this role once again since the group is coming back together.

Overwatch 2 fans will get some more info on Sojourn soon, as Blizzard confirmed in the Sojourn developer update that it was working on a special cinematic for the character. Assuming that this lives up to the quality of the animated shorts, fans could witness a lot of character development that gives them a reason to care about Sojourn and her place in the story. Further, she seems poised to have a major role in the PvE campaign for the sequel.

As with any Overwatch hero, fans will likely get a lot of insight into Sojourn’s personality and beliefs through her interactions with other characters. With Sojourn set to be playable in the upcoming Overwatch 2 beta, fans could get to hear a lot of dialogue from the character. Some of the voice lines may give insight into her age, allowing fans to further narrow down the window through some additional evidence.

With Sojourn having been a part of the Overwatch universe for a while, as fans saw images of her in old cinematics and heard her voice in the Storm Rising mission, it is great to see her story finally being fleshed out a bit. With Sojourn having the potential to be the face of Overwatch 2, fans are curious to learn more about her. Sojourn’s age is one of many things that fans would like to know, but right now, it can only be assumed that she is somewhere in her 40s or 50s.

Overwatch 2 is currently in development for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
