Roadhog is considered one of the easiest Tanks to play in Overwatch. His hook is simple to use and can help him be viable as a DPS-style character, and he can heal himself, making it so he doesn't have to rely on competent healers. But while Roadhog is an easy character to play in Overwatch, it takes true mastery of the character and map awareness to pull off some of the more impressive feats he's capable of.

One of the most common Overwatch Roadhog hook tricks is grabbing an enemy player, then whipping the hook around so they fall into a pit for an instant kill. Usually this trick is used to get quick kills in Overwatch, but it can also be used to counter enemy players. This was shown off by Reddit user -Puddintane- in an incredibly impressive clip where he used Roadhog's hook to counter a D.Va's Ultimate ability.

For the uninitiated, D.Va's Ultimate ability sees the Tank hero sacrifice her mech to create a devastating explosion that can one-shot many members of the Overwatch roster. A well-timed and well-placed D.Va Ult in Overwatch can completely turn the tide of battle, so it's integral that players work to counter it any way that they can.

In the clip, Overwatch fans can see Roadhog successfully hook D.Va's Ult as it's going off. With perfect timing, Roadhog swings his hook around, dumping the D.Va Ult through a hole in the ground of the King's Row map. This counter made it so D.Va's Ult was essentially wasted, completely unable to do damage to Roadhog's teammates. It's an impressive clip and goes to show that Roadhog's hook can be extremely useful in the right hands.

Roadhog has been in the spotlight lately when it comes to Overwatch, as he is featured extensively in the Halloween Terror 2021 event. Not only is Roadhog one of the enemy characters from the Junkenstein's Revenge mode, but he also has a special clown skin seemingly based on Pennywise from It. Players interested in unlocking this special Roadhog It skin will have the chance to do so next week.

The Overwatch Halloween Terror 2021 event is live now and will remain in the hero-shooter game until November 2. So Overwatch fans that want to unlock any of the limited-time Halloween Terror cosmetics still has about a couple of weeks to do so.

Overwatch is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
