Overwatch fans have come up with plenty of stunning art pieces over the years, regularly sharing their creations online. While plenty of Overwatch heroes have gotten some love, the latest art piece goes all in on Mercy, highlighting her massive lineup of alternate skins.

Alongside Tracer, Mercy has been called out by the Overwatch fan base as a character that has far too many skins. With the former being the game’s mascot and the latter having a unique character design that easily serves as a template for special outfits, this is not too surprising. Mercy is also an extremely popular hero that serves as a gateway to the Support role, adding to the logic behind her receiving so many skins. While not everyone is happy about Mercy getting so many cosmetics, it has led to plenty of subject material for a special painting.

The Overwatch fan art was shared by Reddit user themalcontentedgent, and it has a neat little story behind it. Apparently, the piece was made by their friend’s wife as a gift, as they knew the Redditor was a huge fan of Mercy. The painting sees an incredible 25 skins against a white background, and a minimalist style sees Mercy’s face being left out. Given how small each skin must be to fit onto the painter’s canvas, this was a wise decision, and each of Mercy’s varied hairstyles are still captured in the artwork.

The first row of the artwork focuses on Mercy’s basic recolors, which are variants of her original outfit. The more unique outfits begin in the second row, and there are plenty of cool costumes to appreciate. Witch Mercy kicks things off, with her special hat and attire clearly visible. Up next is Winged Victory, Mercy’s gorgeous Summer Games skin, with the Pink Mercy outfit from the Breast Cancer Awareness program also seen. Combat Medic Mercy and the Dr. Ziegler skin are also seen in this batch.

The final row of the painting highlights Mercy’s Valkyrie and Devil variants as well as her Zhuque skin. The unique purple hair of the 2019 Atlantic All-Stars outfit is visible, as is the equally vibrant Sugar Plum Fairy skin. Rounding out the list is Dragoon Mercy, with the green dragon armor and unique helmet perfectly captured by the artist. The post has quickly received around 1,500 upvotes, which is not too surprising given the art’s quality. In the comments, players praised the painting and said that they would love to see the individual Mercy skins as collectable pins.

Only Mercy’s Lunar New Year 2022 skin is missing from the lineup, as it was likely added too late to be worked into the painting. With Mercy sure to get more outfits in Overwatch 2, though, perhaps another painting like this will be made for themalcontentededgent one day.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
