Overwatch’s 2021 Archives event is in its third and final week, meaning players only have a few more days to unlock the annual event’s last skin. This week’s prize is the epic Camouflage Mercy skin, but unlike past Overwatch Archives events, players will not have to win a certain number of games to unlock the cosmetic. Instead, they will have to earn enough stars in the event’s new star system.

For those who may not know, the Archives event is a seasonal offering in Overwatch that gives players the opportunity to unlock cosmetics and loot boxes by taking part in a series of PvE challenge missions. The missions take players back in time to experience pivotal historical events in the lore of Overwatch. This year marks the fifth Archives event, which takes place April 6 through April 27. Each week of the event offers a new skin for players to unlock.

Unlike past Archives events, which required players to win nine games to unlock the epic skin of the week, this year’s iteration implements a new star system that makes it easier for players to unlock the weekly rewards. That should be good news for fans of Mercy, whose camouflage skin is up for grabs until the end of the week. Players will have to collect 30 stars to unlock the limited epic skin.

The new star system is based on how a team performs in the Archive’s co-op missions. This means players can earn stars even if they do not finish any of the challenge missions. They just have to perform well in enough games to earn 30 stars before the end of the week. Alternatively, the can earn 30 stars by completing a few of the most difficult challenge missions. The harder a mission, the more stars it will reward players.

Camouflage Mercy is the last cosmetic that players can unlock before the Archive event ends. The third week of the event also offers double rewards for Storm Rising Missions, which includes a new variant called Thunderstorm. In Thunderstorm, enemies have the ability to damage all nearby players. The Storm Rising Missions also includes Blood Moon missions, in which players can only heal themselves by dealing damage. It also includes the Storm Raging variant, where players will take on enraged enemies, which are stronger and harder to kill.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
