One gamer shows off the effectiveness of Widowmaker in Overwatch 2 by eliminating every player on the enemy team in a matter of seconds during a game. While many heroes have the potential to make pivotal plays in Overwatch 2, few can pull it off with the same amount of style as Widowmaker.

While Widowmaker was always a threat in the original Overwatch due to her capability of one-shotting a number of enemies, the change from 6v6 to 5v5 in Overwatch 2 has made her more dangerous on certain maps. Now, teams can only have one tank on each team, reducing the number of barriers Widowmaker has to worry about getting through in order to land shots on the enemy. However, playing the hero well still takes considerable skill and precision aim, making this recent clip from an Overwatch 2 gamer even more impressive.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as Gicraun posted a play of the game on the Hollywood map. The highlight revealed that the Reddit user was playing as Widowmaker, which can be an effective pick due to the openness of the first segment of the map. After a brief highlight intro, the clip showed the Widowmaker player positioned to the left of the street leading up to Objective A. Utilizing the long sightline, Gicraun landed a headshot on the enemy Sojourn as they left their spawn. The Reddit user then followed up with back-to-back headshots on Zenyatta and Kiriko.

However, they were not done. Following these impressive shots, Gicraun eliminated an opposing Doomfist that had pushed up the street and then took down an enemy Widowmaker. Impressively, the gamer had managed to land headshots on each of the five enemy players. When posting the clip to Reddit, Gicraun said, "One Shot, One Kill,” a reference to a voice line in Overwatch 2 spoken by Widowmaker.

Since posting this play of the game to Reddit, numerous members of the Overwatch 2 community have taken notice. The post has already gained more than 1.3K upvotes, with some commenting on the impressive aim of the gamer. In addition, others talked about possible counter-picks to combat a Widowmaker in Overwatch 2, with some suggesting Sombra and Winston.

This incredible clip featuring Widowmaker comes as numerous gamers continue to play the team-based hero shooter. In fact, Blizzard recently revealed that more than 35 million players have checked out Overwatch 2 since it was released in early access. Despite its problems and controversies, it seems likely that many fans will continue to play the game, inevitably coming up with more incredible play-of-the-game clips in the process.

Overwatch 2 is available in early access for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
