While there still isn't any kind of release date for Overwatch 2 out there yet, it appears that more and more information about the game is starting to leak out to the public. Among the information that has recently leaked out is that the game might be skipping the Nintendo Switch entirely.

Overwatch 2 has had a bit of a bumpy path since it was first announced a couple of years ago. Since that first announcement, the worry has been the lack of information about the development schedule and when people can expect the game to arrive. Now, while it hasn't been confirmed yet, it appears the sequel might not be coming to one console at all.

Dexerto reports that the official Blizzard website debuted an updated look, though it appears the rebooted appearance might have launched a bit early as it was later taken down. Before the revamp was taken offline though, some people noticed the listing for Overwatch 2 and what was missing from it. BattleNet, Xbox, and PlayStation logos were all easily spotted, but a Nintendo Switch logo seemed to be missing. This especially stood out considering that the Nintendo Switch logo was very visible when looking at the listing for the original Overwatch game.

It should be pointed out that in the wake of rumors that Overwatch 2 is coming to mobile platforms, Apple and Google logos were also absent. That could mean that all the logos for the platforms the game is landing on weren't pictured. It could of course also mean the mobile rumors are going to turn out to be false.

With a rumored Overwatch 2 beta on the horizon, players may get a better idea of what platforms the game is coming to in the near future. Even if the beta doesn't include the Switch, Blizzard might volunteer more info about the game nearer to the beta, should it indeed be arriving soon.

Talk from developers inside of Blizzard has been a bit more positive about the latest installment in the Overwatch franchise over the last few weeks. Especially since the acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft. However, considering the issues that popped up over the last few years, it's possible the developers had to make some hard decisions and one of those was to skip the Switch entirely. Hopefully more concrete information comes sooner rather than later.
