Overwatch 2 players express their frustration after seeing the effects of Season 9's new projectile sizes, which make aiming much more forgiving.

To celebrate this huge Overwatch 2 update, the game is holding a Twitch Drop campaign featuring a Legendary shop skin from early in its history. By watching 12 hours of Overwatch 2 on Twitch after linking their Battle.net accounts to the streaming site, players can score Cybermonk Zenyatta, plus the Name Card, Voice Line, and Weapon Charm that appeared in the shop skin’s original bundle. Fans have from now through February 19 to earn all of these cosmetics and add them to their Overwatch 2 collections.

  • Connect one's Battle.net account to their Twitch, then watch Overwatch 2 streams on Twitch from now through February 19 to earn the following rewards:
    • 2 Hours – Cybermonk Name Card
    • 5 Hours – Cybermonk Zenyatta Voice Line: “Fate is not without a sense of irony.”
    • 8 Hours – Cybermonk Orb Weapon Charm
    • 12 Hours – Cybermonk Zenyatta Legendary Skin

Cybermonk Zenyatta was first released as a cash shop skin in October 2022, alongside Overwatch 2’s inaugural cyberpunk-themed Season 1. It was originally offered in a bundle along with the Name Card, Voice Line, and Weapon Charm for 2200 Overwatch coins, or $22. In December 2023, it became purchasable individually via the Hero Gallery alongside many other Overwatch 2 shop skins from past seasons for the standard price of 1900 coins, or $19.

This Legendary Zenyatta skin isn’t the first shop skin players have gotten for free. The Epic Rosewood Moira and Owl Guardian Mercy skins were offered as Prime Gaming rewards, and Blue Steel Baptiste and Captain Torbjorn were available via Twitch Drops, with the latter being the only other Legendary Overwatch 2 shop skin to be given away for free. Of these, Owl Guardian Mercy was the only one to provide refunds for Overwatch 2 fans who had purchased the skin – and only because it had recently gone on sale before being given away for free – so players who previously bought Cybermonk Zenyatta may be out of luck.

The ninth season of Overwatch 2 will have plenty of other skins for players to collect as well. The Battle Pass refresh is full of eldritch horror cosmetics, including Ancient Caller Moira, an Overwatch 2 Mythic skin with many more customization options than ones from the last two seasons. Fans can also look forward to some Cowboy Bebop skins during an upcoming crossover event.
