Overwatch 2 just revealed the new skins coming to the game in Season 8: Call of the Hunt. These beastly Overwatch 2 cosmetics will be obtainable via the Season 8 Battle Pass, in-game store, or via events and other activities.

Blizzard’s iconic first-person shooter is going wild in Season 8. Titled Call of the Hunt, Overwatch 2’s eighth batch of seasonal content brings game modes, cosmetics, and a Battle Pass refresh to the game–not to mention Mauga, the bombastic new tank–starting December 5. Like the seasons before it, Call of the Hunt will also introduce a slew of balance updates, with buffs for tanks like Ramattra, Doomfist, and Winston, but nerfs to other heroes, including Baptiste, Sigma, and Soldier: 76.

The official changes coming to Overwatch 2's upcoming ninth season will mostly involve massive reworks to the game's competitive ranked system.

Now, Overwatch 2 has previewed the skins players can expect to see over the course of the next two months. In the short trailer shared on the official Overwatch 2 Twitter account, a total of 18 skins can be seen, but players can expect even more skins during Call of the Hunt. The vast majority match the theme of Overwatch 2 Season 8, but some are inspired by Christmas and the Lunar New Year, both of which occur during the next two months. However, a few of them are recolors of StarCraft and World of Warcraft skins, giving players another chance to score a different take on these exclusive Blizzard collaboration cosmetics.

There are probably a few other surprise skins in store for players in Overwatch 2 Season 8, but players will have to wait and see what they are when they are released. Beyond skins, players can expect tons of new highlight intros, victory poses, charms, and other cosmetics via the shop, events, and Battle Pass. Many of them, including Doomfist's Get Down and Mercy's Cookies highlight intros, pair perfectly with their brand-new skins.

Were all of these new skins not exciting enough, Overwatch 2 is adding weapon skins in Season 8. This new type of cosmetic allows players to combine the unlocked weapon skins with any hero skin, overwriting the weapon with this new variant. Players will be able to buy Hard Light weapon skins for Mercy, Reaper, and Reinhardt during Season 8, but as long as this new type of cosmetic proves popular among fans, they might see more of them from Overwatch 2 in the future. This is the first new type of cosmetic Overwatch 2 has added since charms, so throwing another way for players to customize their heroes could be huge for future events, shop offers, and Battle Pass refreshes.
