Following the Season 7 update, Overwacth 2 fans discover a number of hilarious visual bugs related to the Random from Favorites option inside the cosmetic loadout feature. The latest Overwatch 2 season kicked off earlier in October, bringing with it a number of major changes to the game as well as new content like the Diablo 4 Crossover which gives heroes like Moira, Reinhardt, Roadhog, Pharah, and Wrecking Ball cosmetic skins inspired by Blizzard's iconic RPG series. In addition, the annual Halloween event has also arrived including new cosmetics as well as the return of Junkenstein’s Revenge and Wrath of the Bride.
Besides new content, Overwatch 2 Season 7: Rise of Darkness also brought a number of tweaks and changes with it including hero balancing for characters like Cassidy who can apparently survive a D.Va Bomb ultimate simply by using the roll at the right time. The hacker Sombra has also received a complete rework so that her stealth is now a passive trait, with her new ability called Virus that is a damaging projectile. Season 7 also brought a few new features including a group respawn option for quick play, new penalties for leaving a match early, as well as the Cosmetic Loadouts option where players can save their favorite items as a full set for easy access.
New Overwatch 2 Highlight Intro for Widowmaker Has a Funny Flaw
A new highlight intro introduced in the seventh season of Overwatch 2 for Damage hero Widowmaker is experiencing a silly graphics-related issue.
Unfortunately, this feature doesn't seem to be working quite as expected. One loadout option from the Overwatch 2 Season 7 update is called Random From Favorites, which lets the game pick items from any unlocked cosmetics from that character, sometimes with interesting results. While Overwatch 2 players have been having fun seeing some of the results, many have started to see visual bugs add another layer of chaos to certain loadouts. One such post from Reddit by a user named DesperateKoala shows off 2 particularly hilarious accidents with Mercy and Genji. Mercy appears to be sporting Reaper's stance and weapons, while Genji is just impaled with numerous swords.
Naturally, the images spawned plenty of jokes from the comments section, though there were also more than a few who indicated they had seen other oddities when trying to use this system with one user saying they were seeing options that hadn't been unlocked yet. Others indicated that the feature was locked entirely, while others around the internet and social media have continued reporting numerous issues when attempting to use the Cosmetic Loadouts feature. Regardless, it appears this Overwatch 2 feature has more than a few issues left to solve, so players will likely see an update in the near future.
This certainly isn't the first issue with cosmetics that Overwatch 2 has seen in the year it has been available. Recently, players have started putting together a list of Overwatch 2 cosmetic skins that have been bugged for over a year. So far, many of the included skins are ones that made the transition from Overwatch to Overwatch 2, including some of the more rare options like 2018 Pacific All-Stars Genji, Zen-Nakji Zanyatta, and Pink Mercy among others.
