Overwatch 2 hero Widowmaker's latest highlight intro has a flaw. The popular multiplayer FPS game’s seventh season features a collaboration with the Diablo franchise alongside Halloween-themed skins and modes. Many heroes in Overwatch 2 received new cosmetics, including Widowmaker, but one of them has a flaw that is haunting the battle pass.

Widowmaker is one of Overwatch 2’s Damage heroes and is a cold-hearted assassin with one of the most tragic backstories of all Overwatch 2's heroes. She carries with her a sniper rifle, a venom mine in the form of a spider, and the ultimate ability to see enemies through walls. She is one of the original characters in the franchise who has been a playable hero since the first Overwatch released back in May 2016. Many Overwatch 2 players love Widowmaker’s new cosmetics, but a flaw has caught some players off guard.

An Overwatch 2 player and Reddit user, twetwetwe, shared a video clip of Widowmaker’s skin introduced in season 7, Ghostly Bride, which looks to take inspiration from Tim Burton’s Corspe Bride, as well as her complimentary highlight intro, Decay. If players look closely enough they will notice that the backdrop of Widowmaker’s highlight intro, Decay, is broken. The background image does not fill the entire screen, which leaves the standard Battle Pass background exposed.

One user jokingly commented that Widowmaker is getting her photos taken at the well-known department store Sears since the background looks like a backdrop for a photo shoot, and Widowmaker is posing with a bouquet in her hands. However, some users also decided to use this mistake as a way to point at other issues with the game, commenting on the quality of Overwatch 2 and how they feel Activision Blizzard is not putting enough effort into the title, especially for an AAA video game company. Microsoft recently acquired Blizzard, so many are hoping that this change will be a positive influence on Overwatch 2.

The Overwatch 2 community is often divided over issues that arise with the game, whether it is because of bugs that should be easy to overcome for an AAA video game company or controversial monetization choices, but Overwatch 2 remains one of the most popular multiplayer FPS games.

Overwatch 2 is available to play now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X|S.
