Marketing for Season 5 of Overwatch 2 is well underway, as Blizzard showcases some of its upcoming fantasy-themed skins, including a Demon Lord Reinhardt. Season 4 is coming to a close with Overwatch 2's Pride event, as it sets the stage for Questwatch in Season 5, and the Summer Games event. Multiple balance adjustments are expected to come with the new update, from a nerf to Widowmaker, to a buff for Lifeweaver. The latter has seen significant changes ever his announcement, but it has done little to shake Lifeweaver's popularity among the fandom.Though the community is still reeling from the cancelation of Overwatch 2's Hero mode, the developers at Blizzard Entertainment continue to press forward with their road map for the PvP side of the game. Season 5 is slated for launch on June 13, and its theme is "Mischief and Magic," bringing a decently-sized collection of fantasy cosmetics to the store and Battle Pass alike. Though Season 5 won't feature a new hero, it will instead see the debut of another cinematic reveal.RELATED:Overwatch 2 Nerfing Junker Queen, Buffing Lifeweaver in Season 5While Blizzard has already unveiled the new Mythic skin for Overwatch 2 Season 5, Tracer will also be joined by Genji the Knight, Orisa the Gryphon, and Reinhardt as an imposing Demon Lord. The cosmetics team rarely fails to deliver in Overwatch, and the new skins seem to be no exception, as fans across social media have expressed their excitement. Given that most season-themed skins were tied to the Battle Pass in the past, Overwatch 2 players can expect to earn them through the reward tracks instead of buying them in the in-game store.

Despite the positive reception to the cosmetics, Season 5 of Overwatch 2 has overall gotten a lukewarm response, as many fans are under the impression that it's little more than a filler season. At the very least, players are hoping to see more content per update now that the Overwatch 2 Hero mode has been officially scrapped, but it may take a while until they see the benefits of that decision.

As stunning as the Tracer, Orisa, Reinhardt, and Genji skins are, the full slate of skins for Overwatch 2 Season 5 has yet to be revealed. Fans are hoping that Ana will receive a more exciting look than that of a botanist, and that Brigitte will get an appropriately chivalrous outfit to match her knightly archetype, however they may likely need to wait until June 13 to find out what awaits in "Mischief and Magic."

Overwatch 2 is available now in early access on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
