Overwatch 2 recently revealed the Mythic skin for Season 5 of its Battle Pass. Tracer, the time-jumping poster child of Overwatch 2, is finally getting her Mythic skin, and fans of high fantasy will definitely want to add it to their collection.

The fifth Season of Overwatch 2 begins soon, bringing with it a Battle Pass refresh, new cosmetics and events, and balance changes for under- and over-performing heroes. The theme for Overwatch 2 Season 5 is medieval fantasy, with many of its limited-time events and Battle Pass rewards centered around mischief and magic.

The new Mythic skin for Tracer encapsulates this high fantasy theme, and is the first cosmetic revealed for Overwatch 2 Season 5. Like previous Mythic skins, Adventurer Tracer is a customizable skin with multiple variations. The preview trailer showed off options for a helmet, a cloak, and a circlet paired with pointed elf-like ears, plus several types of armor. It seems players will be able to pick blue, teal, and red variants, and will even be able to change the colors of her pulse pistol lasers. Considering Tracer also gets an emote featuring heart containers, it is clear this skin is also a love letter to The Legend of Zelda fans.

Interestingly enough, it seems Overwatch 2 players won’t need to wait until they complete the Battle Pass for Season 5 to unlock the Mythic Tracer skin. Fans will unlock the basic blue outfit at Tier 45, the hooded variant and further options at Tier 65, and the full Mythic Tracer skin once they finish the Battle Pass at Tier 80. This gradual unlock system for Mythic skins is a great way for players to try out different variations for the premium cosmetics, and will likely carry forward into future Overwatch 2 Seasons.

Tracer is one of the game's most popular heroes, so fans are understandably excited to play with this charming cosmetic once they unlock it when Overwatch 2 Season 5 begins on June 13. While players can expect full patch notes, as well as a reveal of all the Battle Pass tier unlocks, in the week leading up to its release, the recent Overwatch 2 roadmap Blizzard shared gave a hint as to what players can expect. With the new Questwatch event, a cinematic reveal, and a return of the Summer Games coming in Season 5, Overwatch 2 has a lot for players to look forward to soon.

Overwatch 2 is out now in early access for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
