The season 4 battle pass for Overwatch 2 is being made easier to complete with the new benefit available to Amazon Prime members. With 80 tiers to climb for the most recent battle pass in Overwatch 2, fans are eager for any advantage they can get to make the grind easier.Released on April 11, season 4 of Overwatch 2 introduced players to Lifeweaver, one of its most ambitious new heroes. The newest support added to the game, Lifeweaver introduces displacement mechanics with several of their skills, able to create rising floral platforms and, more controversially, pull allies back to Lifeweaver, opening up the depth of strategy possible for the game while also presenting itself as a tool for potential griefers to sabotage their teams. Reception has been generally positive to the release of season 4 and its battle pass, though the potential for game-throwing plays from Lifeweaver has left some concerned about the new support's kit.RELATED: Overwatch 2 is Making Significant Changes to LifeweaverOverwatch 2 players who also subscribe to Amazon Prime are getting five tiers on the season 4 battle pass for free. Battle passes are a relatively new concept for Overwatch, with its first one released alongside the series' jump to Overwatch 2, and Blizzard has been fine-tuning the way they work since. The studio has tweaked the XP required to climb the ranks of the 100-tier battle passes but has yet to shy away from its most controversial decision to make its new heroes a part of its premium track of rewards. Despite that, the battle passes for Overwatch 2 remain popular, and this boost from Amazon Prime is a welcome gift for subscribers.

Amazon Prime has included hundreds of in-game rewards for its members across a huge library of titles, but the April 2023 rewards mark the first time that Overwatch 2 is counted among them. Whether this is a one-off reward or the start of a long-lasting partnership between Blizzard and Amazon is unknown, but for those who have struggled to complete previous battle passes in Overwatch 2's last three seasons, this five-tier boost is a welcome surprise.

Overwatch 2 is still early in its life cycle, with the promised PvE campaign still on the horizon, but its additions so far have been promising and fans have remained optimistic. This new reward for Prime members is a good omen for players who are still at odds with Blizzard's shift to a battle pass monetization strategy.

Overwatch 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
