The Overwatch 2 Porsche crossover event is now live. Blizzard's collaboration with the luxury car brand brings new Legendary Skins and challenges to Overwatch 2, among several other novelties.

The crossover between Porsche and Overwatch 2 was originally announced in early March 2024. On that occasion, Blizzard said that the themed event would feature an exclusive skin for D.Va. The company followed up on that reveal with a cinematic trailer in early May, which offered fans a glimpse of what this alternate D.Va costume would look like.

Overwatch 2 Hanaoka Map Has a Hidden Room

Some Overwatch 2 fans have discovered an easter egg on the new Hanaoka map in the form of a secret room near one of the spawn locations.

But what the developer has kept under wraps up until recently is that D.Va won't be the only character to get a unique skin out of this unconventional collaboration. Damage hero Pharah is also part of the event, having been treated to an alternate appearance inspired by the Porsche Taycan. Both of these Porsche-themed Legendary Skins can be unlocked in Overwatch 2 starting today, May 14. Game ZXC reached out to Blizzard for their pricing information ahead of today's event launch, but did not get any clarification as of press time.

Overwatch 2 Porsche Crossover Event Details

  • New Cosmetics
    • Porsche D.Va Legendary Skin: featuring elements from the electric Porsche Macan Turbo.

  • Additional Rewards and Challenges
    • Earn 40,000 Battle Pass XP: complete specific challenges during the event to accelerate your Battle Pass progression.
    • Unlock High-Voltage Themed Rewards: engage in the event to earn unique, electric-themed rewards.

Pharah's Porsche Taycan-inspired skin incorporates several elements of the luxury EV, including its unique headlights and taillights. Meanwhile, D.Va's exclusive costume is based on the Porsche Macan Turbo, an electric SUV whose design characteristics were integrated into both her suit and mech. ​​​​​Aside from this duo of Legendary cosmetics, the crossover event also introduces some themed challenges, which allow players to earn up to 40,000 XP that will go toward their Overwatch 2 Season 10 Battle Pass progression. As per usual, the latest iteration of the game's Battle Pass is priced at 1,000 Overwatch Coins, the equivalent of $10.

Porsche Cars That Inspired New Overwatch 2 Legendary Skins

Partaking in the newly introduced Porsche event will also allow players to earn some additional cosmetics. Blizzard was light on the details here, having merely described the limited-time rewards as being "electric-themed."

Looking at the Overwatch 2 Season 10 meta, it is plausible that players will be seeing much more of D.Va's Porsche skin than Pharah's for the duration of the newly launched event. That's largely on account of the former seeing more play than the latter following Blizzard's latest balancing changes to the game. Nevertheless, both D.Va and Pharah are still more than capable of carrying a match. The ongoing season is about halfway done right now, with Blizzard planning to conclude it on June 18. The gaming giant is likely to start sharing some official information about Season 11 even before that date.
