One Overwatch 2 player has managed to blow themself up while playing as Pharah, revealing that the hero's weapons can be just as deadly to her as they are to the opposing team. While Overwatch 2 has introduced several new characters to the roster, many of the returning heroes continue to be popular picks, such as Pharah.

Despite being one of the original Overwatch characters, Pharah still boasts an impressive moveset in the sequel. Among her abilities, her Ultimate, Barrage, is particularly notable as it allows her to send countless rockets at her enemies over a short period of time. If used correctly, this ability can mean the difference between winning and losing a team fight in Overwatch 2. However, while these rockets can effectively eliminate enemies, one player learned the hard way that they must be fired with caution.

Over on the Overwatch subreddit, a user known as TLukas123 shared a video from a match on Esperanca, a Push map in Overwatch 2. While many players have been posting impressive clips of play of the game highlights, TLukas123 decided to go against that trend and upload a hilarious blunder. The brief video began with the Reddit user playing as Pharah near the giant robot. After launching several volleys of rockets at the enemy, they took to the air in an attempt to get a better angle. Unfortunately, things did not go according to plan.

As TLukas123 backed away from the fight, they continued to launch deadly rockets at the objective. After landing several hits, they decided to go for the big play by using their Ultimate. However, things took a turn for the worst as a lamp post came between Pharah and her opponents. Unexpectedly, many of the rockets impacted the slender object, causing Pharah to take massive damage and die.

When posting the clip to Reddit, TLukas123 made fun of themself. “Thinking about becoming pro, what you think?” they joked. It did not take long for gamers on the Overwatch 2 subreddit to respond. In only a few days, many have commented on the hilarious video, which has gained more than 640 upvotes. Among the replies, one gamer quipped, "Even though you failed, you gave that lamp post a run for its money."

Unsurprisingly, this is just one of many clips fans have shared from their time playing Overwatch 2. With the stability of the game having improved over the last couple of days, more gamers have had a chance to capture unusual highlights. In fact, another player recently shared a mishap a D.Va player had in Overwatch 2 that somehow turned into a play-of-the-game highlight. Time will tell what other hilarious clips from the game surface on Reddit in the coming days.

Overwatch 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
