Blizzard has confirmed that the next round of hero balance changes for Overwatch 2 will include slight adjustments to Zenyatta's Orb of Discord ability and more. The last time players saw an adjustment to Zenyatta was October 2023, when Blizzard addressed a bug that allowed him to receive extra attack speed on top of the bonus from Kiriko's ultimate.Back in April 2023, some Overwatch 2 players voiced their frustration over Zenyatta's ability kit through social media channels, saying the hero had become overpowered and should receive adjustments as soon as possible. They also claimed Zenyatta has one of the most broken support ultimates in Overwatch 2, which heals up allies as long as they stay within the range. However, the main problem with Zenyatta seems to be his Orb of Discord ability, which allows him to launch an orb at an enemy to increase the damage they take.RELATED: Overwatch 2 Kiriko Ability Bug is Teleporting Players Out of The MapBlizzard has confirmed via a recent blog post that Zenyatta's Orb of Discord ability will be nerfed in the upcoming mid-season patch. This ability is the main reason for many Overwatch 2 players to pick Zenyatta thanks to its effectiveness. However, Blizzard might push him out of the current meta with a slight change to his Orb of Discord ability, which lets Zenyatta shed through opposing tank heroes to change the course of the match. It's currently unclear what exactly the changes will be, but players can expect the debuff it provides will be decreased to some capacity.

Overwatch 2's Zenyatta is a support class hero with some of the strongest DPS potential among other healers. He calls upon orbs of harmony to heal allies and becomes immune to damage for a short period of time. When used smartly, his ability kit is enough to keep him alive even against the best DPS heroes.

Blizzard may have to bring another adjustment to Zenyatta, as an Overwatch 2 player discovered an odd bug that lets the hero kick enemies through a wall, even causing the enemy to fly off of the stage to their sudden death. It was found hilarious by some other players, with some joking that Zenyatta takes ''never skip leg day'' to the next level.

In addition to slight adjustments to Zenyatta, the upcoming mid-cycle patch will bring balance changes for Overwatch 2's Torbjorn and Symmetra to shift their power away from their turrets and into the rest of their ability kit. The front-line capability of Reinhardt and Orisa will also be increased, though players will ultimately have to wait until mid-July to see how these changes will affect their viability.

Overwatch 2 is now available to play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
