An Overwatch 2 fan has noticed an interesting detail about Mei's "Pajamei" skin, namely that she can't make a peace sign in it. Overwatch 2 has a variety of skins available for players to use to customize characters. The "Pajamei" skin is one of the more popular Mei skins available, being used consistently by a number of players.

In Overwatch 2, each playable character, or "Hero," has both a set of skins that can be applied to them and a set of victory poses that they can perform after winning a match. Customization options such as these constitute a significant part of the appeal of Overwatch 2 – as well as its predecessor – for a number of players. In Mei's case, she has the "Pajamei" skin available as one of her legendary skins in both Overwatch and Overwatch 2, which, as the name suggests, dresses her up in pajamas. Meanwhile, one of her victory poses has her doing a peace sign.

Mei's inability to do a peace sign while in her "Pajamei" skin was pointed out in a post on Reddit by sagiyy. They demonstrated this using an accompanying picture of Mei in said skin while performing the peace sign victory pose. The picture shows that because of the mittens Mei wears in the skin, she is unable to hold up two fingers to form a peace sign. Whether or not this is a mistake or error by the Overwatch 2 developers is currently unknown.

Mei has faced a number of issues during her time in Blizzard's first-person shooter, such as when she was temprorarily removed from the Overwatch 2 roster after it was discovered that one of her abilities had a serious bug. However, this has not lessened her popularity or that of her skins, with the ice-wielding Hero being beloved by many fans of the Overwatch series.

The fact that this detail about Mei's "Pajamei" skin was overlooked up to this point by Overwatch 2 fans is quite odd, considering the aforementioned popularity of the "Pajamei" skin and how many players use it. At the same time, the presence of this detail could possibly be intentional on the part of Overwatch 2's developers, adding a bit of additional accuracy to the skin. It is possible, as this would not be the only time such details have been added to a skin. For instance, Reinhardt's new "Cardboard" skin is accompanied by changed movement sound effects to fit with the skin's theme.

Overwatch 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
