The Overwatch 2 community regularly proves to have a wealth of creative and artistic players among its ranks who love sharing their ideas for new hero skins and cosmetics, with one player's Roadhog concept in particular catching the eyes of many online. Given Roadhog's large frame and overall outlandish appearance, Blizzard hasn't been shy about making some of his skins over-the-top by channeling classic movie monsters and pirates. This new Roadhog fan concept, though, channels Norse mythology to make the tank feel like he was just taken right out of God of War: Ragnarok.

Roadhog is one of the many heroes who returned in Overwatch 2, once again serving as a tank in the shooter who specializes in close-quarters-combat with his shotgun-like scrap gun and hook-chain to pull opposing players into range. Narratively, Roadhog was part of a rebel uprising in the Australian outback which left his home region an irradiated wasteland and permanently scarred Roadhog's psyche. He has since become an outlaw known for the rampant destruction left in his wake alongside his proverbial partner-in-crime, Junkrat.

While Roadhog's base design and several skins channel this Mad Max-inspired background, Reddit user devito_DM turned to Norse mythology for their aforementioned skin concept. DM shared the skin on the Overwatch subreddit, which was dubbed the Berserker Roadhog skin. The skin isn't lacking in the fur department due to the visible pieces under Roadhog's armor and the massive bear pelt draped over his head and back. A variety of Norse tattoos and a fittingly-large beard are also present.

Roadhog's new axe, though, could be the most eye-catching feature in DM's skin concept, as some players could argue it looks similar to Kratos' Leviathan Axe from 2018's God of War and 2022's God of War: Ragnarok. Since Ragnarok's release, there has been no shortage of player-created artwork celebrating the game using LEGOs, comic books, and other mediums for inspiration. It is possible DM followed suit with his Roadhog skin concept, given the axe's design and the Berserker name, as players face several Berserkers in the latest God of War game.

DM's concept was largely well-received by other users on the subreddit, who complimented them for the skin idea and how closely the mockup resembles concept art pieces directly from Blizzard. Several users were also keen to share their ideas for alternate names DM could use for the skin, such as Ragnarhog and Boarserker. A few users even managed to inject some humor into their compliments, taking shots at Blizzard's monetization models by saying DM's skin could justify the company's practices.

Overwatch 2 is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
