An Overwatch 2 player shared an impressive highlight of their latest game, where they managed to secure a triple kill with Doomfist by pushing enemies off the infamous bridge of Rialto. While this feat is a frequent threat on this specific chokepoint, pulling it off in an Overwatch 2 competitive game is quite rare, as several Reddit users pointed out.

Just like its predecessor, Overwatch 2 enables players to kill others by throwing them outside of the map. This technique, known in Overwatch 2 as an environmental kill, is hard to accomplish as opponents are aware of where they could die and usually stay away from dangerous spots. Among all the maps available in Overwatch 2, several feature locations ideal for environmental kills, such as the well in Ilios and the bridge located right after the first spawn of attackers on Rialto.

This Rialto bridge was where the Doomfist of this story managed to pull off an impressive triple kill. Reddit user JackDuals, who goes by the same name in-game, shared a short clip showing how he managed to push three enemies off the bridge on Rialto, securing a triple kill with a single punch as Doomfist.

JackDuals played on the defending team, whose goal is to stop the opponents from moving the payload across the bridge. One of his teammates showed his enemies’ position with Hanzo’s Sonic Arrow, allowing Doomfist to see exactly when his opponents would cross the bridge. He then charged up his Rocket Punch, a powerful strike that knocks back enemies, and hit three opponents standing in his way: Roadhog, Mercy, and Soldier: 76. These unfortunate heroes fell off the bridge with the knockback, granting Doomfist with three environmental kills. He then turned to kill Overwatch 2 support hero Ana who stayed behind, before spamming the infamous voice line “and they say chivalry is dead” to mock his enemies.

Doomfist’s Rocket Punch was buffed by Blizzard with the release of Overwatch 2 Season 2, allowing the tank hero to become a brawler character able to better disrupt his opponents. Even if the cooldown of this ability was increased in a later update to prevent Doomfist from wreaking havoc on his enemies, this hero still shines in battle. This new season also brought back Rialto, which was missing from the map pool of the first Overwatch 2 season. With the return of Rialto in competitive games of Overwatch 2, players now have more opportunities to share their highlights trying to punch their enemies off the bridge. However, defending players trying to sneak up on their opponents while they cross the bridge may be surprised, as another Reddit user found a trick to detect hidden enemies on Rialto.

Overwatch 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
